He didn't address what is being done to stop the spread of the virus.

Huh? That's all Trump's been talking about since he started giving these press conferences. Or if not him, one of the relevant medical experts or top administration officials.

Try watching more than one press conference.

All they're doing is talking about the economy, Trump didn't even mention the deaths.

He's mentioned them before and expressed his condolences.

It's as if he's trying to get his campaign rally therapy via the press conferences.

If you think his coronavirus press conferences resemble in any way his campaign rallies, you've never seen a Trump campaign rally.

He spoke about NATO... It was just Rally topics over and over...

Nothing about the Pandemic, the actions the people need to take to stop the spread or stay safe.

At this point, everybody knows we're supposed to practice "social distancing," wash our hands a lot and not sneeze or cough in people's faces.

What else do you think we need to know about "staying safe" that Trump or medical experts haven't already told us?

I'm not a fan of #ScottyFromMarketing but at least he's been showing leadership and being open and frank with the people about the challenges we face and what we all need to be doing in the community, not just about the economy.

Trump went on about Fake News when a question was asked about the Easter timeline where he was getting that from given that all experts, medial and scientific are saying it's a terrible idea.

There is a lot more to quote, but I'm not going to hit each comment one by one.

The point is, his White House sessions which are meant to give the public critical and truthful information about the crisis are instead working against that end. Rather, they have become a daily stage for Trump to play his greatest hits to captive audience members. The American people come in search of life or death information, but what they get from him instead is self-aggrandisement, media bashing, exaggeration and outright lies.

There is little to no public benefit to them. The only times they're of value is when the like of Dr Fauci is allowed to talk and give out vital information but then Trump then sends someone in after him, like Pence, to contradict everything the doctor just said and paint it in a more favourable light to the administration.

Yes, I've been watching all the press conferences (I am yet to catch the latest one, he may have redeemed himself), not just the one I commented on. As I said, if you compare him to those of other world leaders or even our state leaders in Australia, they're all about him.

If you're so sure people know what they need to be doing and don't need Trump to tell them, why aren't they doing it in the US?

By in large it's not the conservatives or the Trump supporters who are observing social distancing. At the time of the presser I was commenting on, 30 states were doing nothing to stop the spread.

And all he's doing is boasting about what he's doing while at the same time misleading and exaggerating the significance of it, patting himself on the back as he goes.

I just watched Gladys Berejiklian latest address. While I dislike her for multiple very valid reasons, she's doing a great job at communicating with the public,



This is not what Trump is doing.

He hasn't found the balance of firstly, putting his ego and reelection aside and then giving people valuable information as well as trying to stay positive but realistic.

He is still campaigning and not leading. He never transitioned out of it, even after taking the oath of office.

It's just beautiful this, tremendous that. Nothing of substance, nothing about staying isolated, acting as if you have the virus in order to limit it's spread, it's all about exaggerating the testing saying they're doing a better job than South Korea, even though per capita the last numbers I saw they're still 30 times worse than South Korea.

He's still getting those there with him to spin the situation to follow up those giving valuable information such as the doctors to, will spin the situation, confusing the important messages even more.

Defend him all you like, but anyone can see that he's not doing a good job addressing the people.

Unless to the people that still think this is all a hoax to hurt Trump, they're happy to see him try to take advantage of the situation for his political gain and respond to it in such a poor way.

I can't open the video but I see Cuomo pictured so if it's about Trump v Cuomo I've seen it all. Cuomo is the reason why NY has a shortage of ventilators to begin with. He was advised 5 years ago to purchase 16,000 extra ventilators but decided to splurge $750 million on a solar factory instead. To make matters worse he hasn't even shut down the mass transport system.

As for Gladys, sure she comes across much better than Trump in the verbals but SHE is responsible for someone in her government letting thousands off the Ruby Princess which has made the virus in NSW exponentially worse than it should be. Many people will die just from that one stupid decision.

She is also still allowing in overseas travellers even though there is supposedly a travel ban. The debacle at Sydney airport yesterday was appalling and has potentially put many more of us at risk.
