Back in the 80-90s when computers really kicked into being a vital workstation tool Microsoft had their basic games inbuilt (Solataire, Minesweeper etc).
And back then most employees wouldn't have been too familiar with mouse usage then companies would advocate/condone the usage of employees playing computers games during work hours.
But now with the internet, some employees have really pushed the envelope and abused the whole access issue.
In 1986 you were 25 years younger than you say you are now (36). So what the fuck would you know about computers in the 80's? You still need help to get a screenshot. :rofl

WHO do you think I am, Mellie? I can assure you that whoever it is, you are wrong.

I dislike you and that is FACT. I call a spade a spade and unlike other females around here, I do NOT change my mind or swing with the breeze. If people on Forums don't like me, so what? It isn't terminal. :smitten

I saw a toddler in his pram the other day playing away industriously on a small laptop. It obviously kept him content, but he couldn't have been any older than 2, if that.
The next generation of lazily parented digital kids will be dyspraxic, socially awkward and cognitively impaired if this keeps up.

Toddlers sensory and cognitive development is crucial, for dexterity, ever seen a kid tie their shoe laces online, gosh, the rate they're going, they wont even be able to hold a sandwich, much less peel a banana for playlunch.

Borderline child abuse, no, what am I saying, it is child abuse.

Lazy parents.

Bit like giving them lollies to suck on in the supermarket, only rather than rot their teeth, they're rotting their kids brains.

Just ridiculous.

The same parents who plant their kids in front of TV and a bowl of rubbish to keep them quiet instead of taking them for a walk down the park.

Cyber nanny anyone?

Mel is not Bart - I can vouch for that. :stop

It's quite scary. Generation X, Y and Z all have a predilection to addiction to computers and what are they going to be like when they hit middle age? Will their limbs work properly. Will they have brain cancer or worse still only partial use of their brain? There is also the worry that if ever there was some massive power failure - these generations won't be able to write properly or do sums. Society as it is today will collapse.

You can vouch for that no better than you can vouch I am not Bart.
