A young Indian (American Indian, let me make clear) visited her doctor for a general checkup. The doctor gave her a clean bill of health but said he was astounded to see that she had no nipples! The young woman explained that in her 500 strong tribe no one had nipples.

What made me smile today was noticing my pineapple sage had flowered. The pineapple sage and the real sage are both edible salvias so this morning sitting outside there was this rampant riot of red, just past them, from the pond the lovely liquid lapping of water in the waterbell, and on the other side of the pond the bright, deep reds of the foliage plants I put there a few months ago.

Mainly tho I was smiling because the work of digging out the orange tree stump and roots and digging the hole the pond sits in had been done! It took forever, working until the hip hurt too much, couple of months of pain—there was an orange tree root 6m long right across where the pond now is, ouch! A little bonus, an apple tree, a Coxs Orange Pippin, freed of competition from that bloody orange tree is zooming ahead! Some nice apples nearly ready to be picked.

I smiled when I shook the hand of my boss as today is my last day and he can now deal with all the shit I have been dealing with.
