Wondering how to clean it? The chefs scandipan? After you've roast with it?
I let my dogs to do the hard job and then give it a wash.

Cats are better, they have abrasive tongues.

It's this ...

You don't want the one with the non stick coating.

I like cast iron but most of time precook in sous vide and finish on grill or just boil in flavored broth.

I don't mind cast iron in certain circumstances, ie, for steak, char grilling it, but it's high maintenance, if not oiled after use, it rusts.
Also, you need to be careful about coatings on some cast iron cookware, some cheaper ones can be toxic.

I prefer stainless steel, but will drag out my cast iron ( hits huge) heavy griddle for something I like to call indoor BBqs, because you definitely get that nice charred flavour from cast iron on a gas cook top, which is what we have.

I love my scandipan, it's easy , no need for regular seasoning, to prevent rusting, it suits us for most things.

We had fish fingers and veg + home made chips ( my daughter’s request) I would have preferred risotto, but she wanted otherwise.

I miss cooking more adult meals, 😩.... my daughter likes typical kid food. Unfortunately. She does love pasta , so ...

Tonight - all I wanted was a snack meal - not too much food.

This was perfect - ginger chicken.

Yes tllwd,
I love the smell of fresh ginger when cooking away. :)

I put some in the juices around the chicken and some on top.

Reason for soup is I have a mouthful of ulcers, 5 huge, and sometimes this is what happens randomly from Methotrexate. These are last week's injection ulcers, despite taking my folloic acid each Friday. So.....
And no, I don't inject Methotrexate into my mouth.

It's methotrexate Monday for you too Tld?
