Thing 1 decided to have hers later, however Thing 2 has decided to have his lamb shank now. :D

Lol....He's sticking his tongue out at you lot.

Ha ha ha

Together, my daughter and our Mr O make thing 2 and thing 1.
Mr O loves his lamb, so when he's not eating roast chicken, he has the same meat we are having. Hey why not? The crap in cat food tins is just gelatinous and bulked up with cereal and gloop.
Minimal protein and full of preservatives.

My cat is sensitive to preservatives so ....he just has his roast chicken or whatever we're having.

Wow. Never thought Chuck meat could come up to such a quality. Means I have to buy another bloody appliance in that Joule thingy though.

The shanks were absolutely melt off the bone. Delicious.
I love my Scandi Pan, I have 4 pieces of their cookware.
You get the best results out of quality cookware, and in the long run, save money too because it takes less energy/gas to get the job done.

Just lite olive oil ( its the only oil I cook in) pink salt a scandi-Pan and your shanks and veg.

Very very simple, but healthy too because you don't have to cook the shit out of it and kill nutrients, so the meats oh so tender yet crisp on outside, veg crisp on outside fluffy inside yet not over cooked.

Too many people cook the shit out of a simple roast for hours, when it's not necessary or even nutritious doing so.

Nothing worse than brown boiled peas either, in the microwave they go, 4 minute's and a tiny drizzle of water.

Food should be vibrant, if it's grey/brown/ it's over cooked and all the nutrients are long gone. Lol

A friend of mine ...bless her , she cooks the absolute shit out of everything when she cremates her roasts.
Brown/grey peas, dry hard meat, carrots or sweet potato go black/light pale brown/orange..... and the whole thing tastes burnt.

:sad ... But she does make a nice Apple pie, so .....

At least she doesn't burn that.

:c

Times have changed, cookware has advanced, we don't have to cook the hell out of it for hours on end, they come out vibrant and perfectly cooked when you use quality cookware.

I only use a splash of lite olive oil, you don't need anymore.

Gone are the days of unhealthy roasts with pieces of blackened cremated shrivelled up vegetables or meat swimming in a bath of trans-fatty grease 🤮.

This is all you need. If you only ever buy one piece of quality cookware, then you must buy this.

https://www.scanpan.eu/shop/32cm-chef-p ... q/4-8-32cm

It is my go to, I love mine. ❤

Not expensive considering you can do just about everything with it.

It will last you the rest of your life.

Goes from stovetop to oven.... even under the grill.

Oh and a quality chopping board ( wood) and a few decent knives. For both cooking and household intruders.

Wondering how to clean it? The chefs scandipan? After you've roast with it?

I just soak mine with a squeeze of washing up detergent and some water overnight then throw it in the top compartment of the dishwasher. No scrubbing required.

Back to new. I use mine so often, it usually goes from dishwasher straight to stovetop. Might make risotto tomorrow...
