It's supposed to be the best vantage point (early next year) for the next 11 years. Mosquitoes aren't a problem in winter.
What's happening for you all today?

Novaya Zemlya is better, much colder too and many polar bears but you don't want to get too close to them when they are hungry.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 5:06 pmIt's supposed to be the best vantage point (early next year) for the next 11 years. Mosquitoes aren't a problem in winter.

I have Sit-On-Top kayak if you plan to use traditional Sit-In you better practice Eskimo roll somewhere safe first.

He and I are off to Canada in a few days. We're spending Christmas in Banff which is very quaint and also very very cold. No polar bears though.

Oh wow! I’ve been there! It’s a beautiful spot… it was daylight until about 11 pm when we went in April/May 2016Black Orchid wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 5:24 pmI might stick with Finland lol. We did spot a brown bear coming to eat dandelions near side of road after its hibernation.
There’s fencing all along road for the bears protection from traffic on road, and overhead passes for them!
Funny thing… when we went there was political debates for presidency between Trump and Hilary…
