Really - I never thought much of the skin -
some times I would cut it up and give it to the magpies -
they love it.
When it's crisp, you'll enjoy it.
Similar to pork rind being rather ordinary unless it's crackled.

Nahh - I like it but I worry that I could crack a filling in my teeth.

I use pork cracking as a condiment, l use it along with tiny cubes of pork for making fried rice, rice paper rolls, baan Vietnamese pork rolls, and as a side at Christmas, traditional pork roast. I don't eat it often, but I do find it useful for providing that umami flavour to many dishes like chow mein ( my daughterโs fave) noodle dishes, and basically most Asian dishes. People think MSG is Chinese foods magic ingredient, it's not, it's pork fat, sugar and salt. Lol....which is probably worse for us than MSG

Yeah I know J, but I am something of a feeder, I love to shower my family with good food, something special on special occasions like Easter and Christmas, birthdays, mothers and fathers day etc.
I still do fathers day for my ex and my two eldest children, and grandbaby girl , and my own baby girl gets to join in and celebrate fatherhood with her uncle Mick and we buy him gifts too as my family moved to Ballarat from NSW to be close to us.
Family is everything, even though it's always me who puts on the food, and occasionally I'd like a bit of a break from it lol.
My parents are still in Sydney, so when we go to Sydney I get a bit of a break as my mum does most of the cooking.
She loves it too, so I don't feel bad.

This said J, our regular weeknight meals are very basic, simple, as you've all seen, so I'm not flapping about in the kitchen all the time, just special occasions and family get togethers. Australia day is good because everyone brings something, so it's like a bit of a pot-luck. We are spending Australia day with my step- daughter, her partner and her mum again this year, we'll all bring a dish, ( lol I'll bring about 4 ha ha ) so it works out, somehow.

Waiting for my slab of Lasagna to cool down from the oven.
I only have dinners. No lunch or breakfast. It will only last this night
