I was taught both systems. In college, we did our work in both systems for physics, statics, dynamics, and chemistry. Most of the chemistry is done in Kelvin.

My granddaughter made it down here today and she loves me. I'll take it down if it scares you.
Every time I use the toilet brush to banish a skiddy , I do get a "flash back", or a "flush back" depending on how you look at it lol

It's ridiculously easy to convert F to C. Take away 30 then halve what you have left and you get a close but rough idea.
I F & C all the time. one or the other usually suffices in most situations
Same here and I agree. I still use feet and inches for certain things too.
Then you are both very, very, old. I was born in the metric era!
Well good for you! Would you like a party? I find it very hard to believe you were born after 1974 but I really couldn't care less one way or the other.
True, I am a wee bit older than that... by the time I started primary school Australia was metric.

It's t-shirt weather outside now. It's 12C here. I went to a farm supply store to get chicken feed. Bonus! For the first time in months, I found ammo on the shelves. I grabbed 200 rounds.

Good news. My youngest has found full time apprentice work at a diesel mechanic shop while he is also going to school full time. The pay is pretty good and he can easily pay for his education and I no longer have to do it. My boy is growing up. I hope he has the discipline to complete his studies. He's taking on a big load.

Good luck to him. He sounds like a balanced and responsible young man who will go far in life. That's really good to see.

He just turned 19 and graduated high school in May. His school is supposed to be free because of a government program related to my status as a Texas veteran, but I can't get the paperwork I need because covid has shut down the records building in St Louis. I may get the $5500 back, but I doubt it.
