We don't all do it on a regular basis. Well I don't.
So I don't need the government and do-gooders regulating what I can buy.

Guilty as charged of indulgence.
I just had 2 of these but I didn't eat the whole box. I'd be sick if I did.

BTW if you want to turn yourself off chocolate just go to the UK and eat some of theirs. Totally different Cadbury recipe and it's revolting.

Yuck - I can't stand chocolate like that with it's extra sugar.
I only have have a flat spoon of sugar in tea.

Our supermarkets are full of toxic food:
sugar,
fat,
salt &
cholesterol

on every isle you go to except fruit and veges.

In Australia -
someone dies every 12 minutes from a heart attack caused by that crap food.
Some of what you post is correct .. to a point.
Sugar? well refined sugar isn't particularly good, although we still do require some glucose and sucrose - preferably from fruit.
Too much sugar (including from carbohydrates) makes you fat.

Fat? I don't believe there's anything inherently wrong/bad with fat .. I consider it good protein, and makes meat taste good.

Salt? I think the scare mongering on salt is another unhealthy fad perpetrated by fake health experts.
Salt is essential for the lungs and nervous system to function properly.
Your blood should be about as salty as sea water.

Cholesterol? Depends on type. Cholesterol is essential for the immune system. If you don't get enough high density cholesterol (HDC) in your diet, your liver makes low density cholesterol (LDC).
HDC is like hard and bounces off artery walls like a golf ball. LDC is soft and sticks to artery walls like plasticine.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Getting back to thread topic .. as for Chinese grown food per se? I avoid it.
In Australia it is illegal to use human excrement (sewage) as a fertiliser above ground .. If used, must be piped in below ground, if to be sold for human consumption.

China has no such regulations, so sewage sprayed in the open air is normal, and our govts do nothing to prevent their shitty products sitting on our shelves.

A while back (few months ago) I wanted to buy some garlic, but where I shop at Gin Gin IGA for ages the sign said "Product of China" so I left it on the shelf. And it sempt everyone else did too. When the sign read "Product of Mexico" I bought some.

I'd almost guarantee that anyone over 60 has
arteries partially blocked with cholesterol.
5%, 10% - even up to 50% blocked.
Anymore than that and they'd have a heart attack.
Ask people who have had an angiogram and what was found.
It's all because of shit food.

My GP told me years ago that the general medical consensus is that all Australians
should be on some sort of anti high cholesterol medication because of our extremely poor diets.
I said how could they get everyone onto the medication.
He quipped immediately....theyd just put it in our food as an additive....
True story....
What else are we consuming unbeknowns to us...
And people wonder why Im a sceptic... :OMG

People eat what they eat Bobby. I'll not be a party to the government controlling what food we can buy. If people care for their bodies they will look after them. If they don't the rest of us shouldn't suffer for their bad choices.

I don't have high cholesterol either so I will not take any anti cholesterol medication just in case.

Yes - that medication is a group of drugs known as statins.

atorvastatin (Lipitor),
fluvastatin (Lescol, Lescol XL),
lovastatin (Mevacor, Altoprev),
pravastatin (Pravachol),
rosuvastatin (Crestor),
simvastatin (Zocor), and.
pitavastatin (Livalo).

I'm not a doctor but I can tell you that many people even with
a low blood cholesterol test have cholesterol blocking their arteries.
In some ways - anyone over 50 years old should automatically be on a statin.

See my last post.
Maybe a lot more people should be taking Statins?
Are our GPs letting us down?
