Your connotation suggests that I am ignorant and deluded...Black Orchid wrote: ↑Fri Jun 05, 2020 11:46 amI'm not being hypocritical. You brought up Noor and he is a direct product of Democrat retardation with favouring minorities purely because they are minorities. We are doing that here as well.
I have 2 sons who grew up in a different time to what I did. Once cops had to be 6' tall and have integrity and intellect. Now not so much. I don't know about out of state or country cops but many Sydney cops are barely 5' tall and carry highly aggressive and very unreasonable attitudes.
One of my kids crashed his motor bike a few years ago. It was late at night and no-one else was on the road. He banged himself up pretty badly and I went and picked him up and left the bike on the side of the road to be collected later. He was banged up and in shock and then 2 cops banged on the door. One was ok but the short ass in charge was an absolute pig. No other word for him!
Kept bullying my son and threatening to charge him. For what? For falling off his bike with no-one else around?
Both have seen the very bad side of Sydney cops and both would act with deference when pulled over, which I suppose you could translate into fear, because you just never know what these cops are going to do. When my youngest was in high school they used to go to the local shops after school to meet. They didn't cause trouble but were constantly targeted by the local police just for something to do. The cops would search them and make them take off their shoes and socks in case they had some weed. The cops were aggressive and nasty and didn't find any weed but that didn't stop them from bullying and targeting the kids over and over.
So I suspect many young Australians are scared of our cops too.
There are none so blind ...

My 'connotation' said nothing at all of the sort. You do seem pretty touchy today though! You've called me, and others, a few names today and I/they haven't retaliated. *shrug*

Well maybe Red is right and I need to be kicked out or just move on. I've brought a lot of people here, including yourself, but I can't make them post and I've lost quite a few through abuse.
To be honest I just don't give a stuff anymore.

On what do you base your daft opinion of American cops? I've lived here for 53 years and have never been frightened by an aggressive cop. You must be buying the hype that our leftist media is dishing out to cause unrest. Just because you can make accusations doesn't mean that they are true. I have many friends who are cops and former cops. My cousin is a police investigator for a Texas county sheriff's office and also works for the BATFE. This suggests that when you are pulled over...you are scared.....
WHY??
Oh and if everyone is carrying guns....well...maybe that's going to happen...
Why is it necessary for you to make the cop feel comfortable...
To avoid conflict...you say...
You say you keep your hands on the wheel...is that because people are shot dead in the US at traffic stops

In a violent country like the USA, when every second cop could be trigger happy...why is it necessary for you

I simply suggested originally that you, as a driver of a motor vehicle in Texas could...just could... be
more than worried...maybe scared...if a cop pulled you over.....I didn't call you a coward...
I am not attempting to hang anything around your neck....
All Im suggesting is that you, as a driver of a motor vehicle in Texas are behaving in an extremely
cautious manner when you are pulled over by Police..
Maybe I used the wrong word...perhaps I should have said "anxious"...
Anxiety is a fear of the unknown....a worry or nervousness or unease about something with an uncertain
outcome....
Are we as drivers, anxious when we are pulled over by cops....
Of course we are...
BUT in the US...maybe a little more anxious....

Re: Antifa riots
43% of all cops murdered in the US are killed by blacks. 3% of the entire US population commit 70% of the violent crimes and those 3% are black. That's not being racist it's just a fact.
The demographic is different here and so is the dynamic. Democrat state/cities are the worst. Democrat run states allowed this rioting and looting to happen. They made the cops stand down and now they are demanding federal funding to fix the mess they allowed to happen. They spend their money on paying illegals, letting criminals out of jail to continue to wreak havoc, refuse to co-operate with federal law enforcement and now want a handout. These Dem states even set a limit as to how much you could loot without being arrested. I mean WTF? Look at the source. Democrats! I would tell them to bugger off and I hope Trump does too.
We don't have that here, we don't have totally idiotic sanctuary cities to shelter illegals, and I still think that most of the younger generation here are 'anxious' when pulled over by a cop for no apparent reason.
All in all it depends where you live. Pretty much the same as it does here but to a much lesser extent here.

It was only a few years ago that you took your life in your hands here if you went to Redfern. They moved the Abos out though and gentrified the area.
Now it can be dangerous as hell to go near places like Auburn, Lakemba etc unless you hide under a burka.
Just imagine if we had 350 million people here? Australia and the US are a similar size.
