That is your opinion, Black Orchid and as we know, you're not an American citizen. In reality, she was frustrated by el Presidente' Trump's refusal to shake hands upon entering the chamber, which is a courtesy extended to the el Presidente' by the Speaker of the House. Yet you lot concentrate unduly on her reaction to him by tearing up his speech. Why aren't you attacking Trump for his refusal to shake her hand? It just goes by the wayside, it seems. Mmmm?

Yes it is my opinion just as it is your opinion to trash everything American on an ongoing basis. Are you an American citizen?

Fact is that she did not follow protocol in introducing the President when he entered the Chamber and BEFORE the handshake so, if you want to play games, it was she who started it. It is her DUTY to act with dignity and follow protocol and she did not.

Nearly 3 million more voters voted for Hilarly than Trump.

Sure -- and the San Francisco 49ers had more rushing yardage than the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately for San Fran, the scoreboard is the only thing that determines the winner. Just like the Electoral College.

What it indicates is that el Presidente' Trump is no where as popular as he claims or his supporters claim. She got the votes, he didn't. Yes, he won in the electoral college but hey, that is not an indicator of popularity, now is it?

And how popular do he and his supporters claim he is?

No, but we do know that Trump's approval rating is now at a personal high of 49 percent in the Gallup poll.

As for Hillary, the most recent approval rating I can find is this from 2018:

Gee, not a lot of post-2016 buyer's remorse going on in the States these days, is there?

We have the 2016 election results which is what this argument is about. In that election, el Presidente' Trump gained a Popular vote of 62,984,828 (46.1%). Hilary Clinton gained a popular vote of 65,853,514 (48.2%).

Today, Trump enjoys a popularity of 49%. So Trump has gained what, 3% popularity over what he enjoyed in 2016? Hardly dashing results, 4E. There is 51% of the population which is unhappy at el Presidente's performance it seems. He has divided America, rather than united it. It is also 10% fewer than Obama on his last day in office. Tsk, tsk.

........... Congressman Matt Gaetz is calling for an ethics investigation of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after she ripped up a copy of President Trump's State of the Union speech. The Florida Republican tweeted a letter he wrote to top members of the House Ethics Committee calling for an investigation into Pelosi's "flagrant violation of decorum."


After Mr. Trump concluded his address to the nation Tuesday night, Pelosi picked up her paper copy of his speech and tore it in pieces behind him — well in view of television cameras. A day later, Gaetz argued in his letter that Pelosi may have violated the House's Code of Official Conduct on decorum and perhaps even broken the law by destroying a government document. "Nobody is above the law," he tweeted. "She must be held accountable."

Her conduct was beneath the dignity of the House, and a potential violation of law (18 USC 2071).

Nobody is above the law. She must be held accountable.


In his complaint to Ethics Committee Chairman Theodore Deutch, a Florida Democrat, and Ranking Member Kenny Marchant, a Texas Republican, Gaetz said Pelosi should be censured for her "unseemly behavior" and also requested a criminal referral. He cited a law that says anyone having custody of federal records who "unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys or attempts to do so" could be subject to a fine or even prison time. .................
