I would think a gender related contest would only include people of that gender.

You fancy 'her' Brian?
Nope. Ask BP.
Personally I would prefer to see a real woman with real accomplishments be up for WOMAN of the Year. Organising another Mardi Gras in Wagga isn't an 'accomplishment' worthy of the nomination imo.
You really don't like being challenged, do you, Black Orchid? Your Homophobia is strong. :roll
Challenged? :rofl

I put forth my arguments why Ozzie (yes it does look like Ozzie Osbourne) is not deserving of the title but what have you done Brian? Just flapped your little arms and screeched 'homophobia' because you have no argument.

I try to be patient with you Brian and even then you cry you are the victim. Sometimes you are just too silly and immature for words though so back on ignore you go! :Hi

Yet we have these moonbats championing and advocating their right to continually mix with children and claim awards/scholarships intended for female students/women etc.

Personally I think these moonbats are extremely mentally unstable.

oh nice one Tex.... :rofl

I am not sure why men are having such a view on this one......

after all they are not being threatened ... for instance

why is it ok for a bloke in a dress to use toilets for women?..... and women just have to accept it...

why dont they use men only toilets where apparently people like bri bri wouldnt mind them wearing dresses and stiletto heels.

seems to me problem solved?.....

instead of Holly needing to be NSW WOMEN OF THE YEAR

she could be NSW TRANSGENDER OF THE YEAR AT WAGGA MARDI GRAS....

see problem solved..... so easy.

Oh for fuck's sake, Brian. If you're gonna spend your time on here droning on about oppression olympics, at least make sure you're using the correct terminology. If she is 'phobic' of anything, it's 'transphobic'. The group that you so often go in to white knight for would be eye-rolling and tsk-tsking at you so hard right now, and likely have you arrested for 'bigotry'. Tsk tsk!

Some of the greatest works of fiction are written on paper.

Looking at the "woman", here, it's not a very good one. Had science not progressed in a way that allowed people to have a sex change, they would have to remain as the gender they started out as, like it or not.

I couldn't care less, personally, whether somebody decides they want to "switch sides". Just don't expect any special treatment or rights because of it.

In this case, it's what Nicole has already pointed out -- tokenism.

"Holly" gets a nomination for what, exactly? Marching at some obnoxious circus parade, while so many real women get overlooked for things that they do which is actually beneficial to their communities, for being naturally-born women? :rofl

"Holly" looks more like a man now than she did before! :rofl As a woman-lovin' woman, this level of pandering to political correctness is disgusting. Real women were being "oppressed" before, and now they're even more so "oppressed" when people now accept, without question, despite the writing on the wall, that some ugly tranny bloke is a "woman" and grant him awards that are tailored to "women".

It really shows your "denigration" and "misogyny" towards women, Brian, when you support this rubbish.

Now, answer this question. You see "Holly" and accept him as a woman. Would you drop one in "her"? And hint: you have to say yes, otherwise you're a... what was it again?

A 'homophobe'.
