There is no truth in what the Teacher said. The reason why children were removed was 'cause of the Government (and church's) belief that the Indigenous people were a dying, "race". This comes clearly through in the statements by the various Government officials of the day.
What I find remarkable is that people are so willing to deny what the various investigations have discovered about the Stolen Generations. The state and federal Governments have admitted that was discovered was true. The Federal Government has apologised. As much as people and moan about it, is what is true. Tsk, tsk.
How would you like to lose your job because of your opinion?
If you want to abuse your responsibility as a teacher paid for by the State and tell lies, well what can I say, Bobby?
It wasn't a lie - it was the truth.
Those poor kids were being abused by their drunken parents.
What didn't you understand in my original statement, Bobby? Do you need it explained to you? The Government(s) admitted what had occurred - they admitted the reasons why the kids were removed and "drunkeness" as not one of the reasons given.

If what is happening in the aboriginal community today is anything to go by
I can well believe their parenting skills were far from great in days of yore..
all I believe is they thought they were doing the right thing...none of us were there
so we have no idea what really happened....and how it happened...
history is all about learning.........
What is happening now is because the kids were taken from their parents - multi-generationally - and they did not have any good examples on which to base their own parenting, Cods. They were placed in homes and abused by white administrators.

Brian and Bobby have so quickly relegated this discussion into fake news. Perhaps they need remedial reading lessons. The article clearly points out that this had nothing to do with paid staff and everything to do with the volunteer overstepping their boundaries. Thankfully the students of the school showed zero tolerance towards what the alleged ethics teacher was saying and reported him. All of this I gleaned from reading the article gentleman. Something neither of you did.
Exactly which "boundary" did the volunteer "ethics" teacher cross? Is the" boundary" for acceptable opinion in schools today the left wing PC party
line, and no right wing opinions can be tolerated? How is that "ethical"? All the teacher did was give an opposing view on the so-called "stolen generations" hoax when a school student mentioned that topic.
I don't know how you can praise students for "zero tolerance" for an opposing opinion. Or praise them for informing on the teacher to the schools own Committee of Public Safety, so that they can have the heretic sent either to the guillotine or the gulag.

That wasn't the reason given at the time.
Abusing grog was the reason.
The reason is now changed to suit a
more progressive agenda.

Oh yes, the government said it so it must be true
what a naive little simpleton you are. The perfect communist pansy boy. Time to run back to the kiddie's playground with the rest of the autistic children, hmm? Tsk tsk...
Regardless of the "facts" this is yet another example of the reverse Nazism that is plaguing the country. Where people are offended and outraged over opinions contrary to the leftard doctrine.

The second, was the tone of the article by journalist, Jordan Baker. The article was written in a way that suggested how astute the children were for opposing the "ethics" teachers view, and reporting his heresy to authorities, just like any good Hitler Youth or Young Pioneer should do.
If Jordan wishes to give her opinions, then she should do so as a "Opinions" writer instead of writing articles in such as way as to suggest that children should be praised for informing on adults, who hold views contrary to what they have been inculcated with. A balanced article from Jordan might have suggested that the children should do some research themselves to determine for themselves, which position is correct.
Yeah, that stuck out like dog's balls to me. The children were rewarded for dobbing him in.
There is no such thing as unbiased journalism any more. It's funny, in high school that was one of the major rules conveyed to us when being taught about journalism. IT MUST BE UNBIASED... yeah, wank. Mind you, these days it's probably IT MUST BE LEFT-WING OR IT'S FAKE NEWS.

The topic was about ethics. It was not about one man’s personal opinion on the stolen generation.

I find the whole "ethics" gig to be quite amusing..
The kids are 11......
ffs why are they being taught about ethics...
Answer...the topic replaces religion.....look it up...
Parents make the decision to opt out of religious classes and they cop
ethics instead...
Someone explain to me what indiginous history has to do with ethics...
Someone explain to me also why ethics was chosen as a substitute for religion...
Maybe the kids should be taught about how ethical our politicians are...
Surely that would be a wonderful starting point....
You know...creating a role model like Jacki Trad for starters....
She could even be invited as a guest speaker.....no wait...shes too busy discussing
some sort of conveyancing issue at the moment.....
Yep..teach 11 year old kids ethics.....
Bit advanced I think for the average 11yo ankle biter...
To discover those who rule over you, first discover those who you cannot criticize...Voltaire
Its coming...the rest of the world versus islam....or is it here already...

seriously?
