""Bi Polar is a genetic thing.""
Lets lock the whole family up.
Don't be obtuse.
Bi Polar can be controlled by medication. It used to be called Manic Depression Illness ... MDI ... it tends to present at late teens and early 20s. He probably wasn't taking his meds. Was on a manic episode. Depressed he would be sitting around, drinking or smoking pot and feeling sorry for himself. They need "care" not Gaol.

Well I haven't heard that he suffers with Bi-Polar or any other defined illness. He could be Schizophrenic. Most can be controlled to a certain extent with medication but the problem is you cannot trust them to take it. So handing out meds is not necessarily the answer.

So depressed he had to travel into the city to see a hooker and then murder her with the knife he took with him for that very reason....
Sounds like he planned the whole episode.....

My daughter's husband (of 21 years) has Bi Polar, so I know a bit about it. When they were first married he would go on meds and off meds because he reckoned he was "cured". He had manic episodes when he would go out and spend money willy nilly, and depressed episodes where he wouldn't get out of bed and not work. It took my daughter a lot of mental strength to cope, so I heard all about it. Once the first child arrived, he faced his responsibilities and takes his meds regularly, these days ... or there is hell to face by his wife and daughters!

The whackos are apparently easy to convert. It must be the 72 virgins nonsense.
Actually, it is the structured prayers which attract people with problems, Black Orchid. They feel secure, amongst their fellows praying up to five times a day. Islam is a much more organised and structured religion than most others.

Whoever spoke for them said they didn't follow islam.
Despite what the Islamophobe might claim, not all Turks are Muslim and not all Turks are Sunni. Sunni can tend to be more relaxed about their beliefs than many sh'ites.

You mean Islam is much more controlling and cult-like than other religions.
