Was the Dayton Ohio mass shooter the first Antifa terrorist?
Dayton shooter Connor Betts may be antifa’s first mass killer

Over the weekend, America suffered two mass shootings within hours of one another, in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

While the attacks are similar, the response from liberals and leftists has been anything but.
Democratic presidential candidates Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders succinctly condemned white nationalism — the ideology espoused by the El Paso shooter in his purported 2,300-word manifesto.

However, when it comes to condemning the Dayton shooter’s militant far-left views, all remain mum. Others, such as anti-police activist Shaun King, even claimed the Dayton shooter targeted blacks in a hate crime, though racism doesn’t appear to have been a component of his twisted worldview.

Betts had long expressed support for antifa accounts, causes and individuals. That would be the loose network of militant leftist activists who physically attack anyone to the right of Mao in the name of “anti-fascism.” In particular, Betts promoted extreme hatred of American border enforcement.
“Kill every fascist,” the shooter declared in 2018 on twitter, echoing a rallying cry of antifa ideologues. Over the next year, his tweets became increasingly violent. “Nazis deserve death and nothing else,” he tweeted last October. Betts frequently flung the label “Nazi” at those with whom he disagreed online.

By December, he reached out on Twitter to the Socialist Rifle Association, an antifa gun group, to comment about bump stocks, and the SRA responded to him. (A bump stock is an attachment for semiautomatic rifles that allow them to fire much faster.)
In the months leading to his rampage, Betts expressed a longing for climactic confrontation. In response to an essay by Intercept writer Mehdi Hassan titled, “Yes, Let’s Defeat or Impeach Trump—but What If He Doesn’t Leave the White House?” the shooter wrote: “Arm, train, prepare.”
By June he tweeted: “I want socialism, and I’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round understanding.” Last week, he promoted posts that demonized Sens. Ted Cruz and Bill Cassidy’s resolution against antifa extremism.

The unanimous rejection of the El Paso shooter’s beliefs, including by President Trump, once more demonstrated the nation’s resolve against hard-right hate. Yet when it comes to far-left violent extremism, there is a gaping blind spot in the mainstream discourse, and we are less safe because of it.

What make and model do you carry Tex
Kimber Micro 9
7+1
15.6 oz
tritium/fiber optic sights

Her name is “Emma”.

Practical choice, I also carry the Kimber micro 9 but mine has the crimson trace grip and rides in a pocket holster. If I can see the laser dot all it takes is for me to do my part for longer range hits. Bright sunlight is the only thing that makes it hard to see. I carried the Ruger LC9 until one day at the range the extractor and other small parts disappeared using standard velocity factory ammo. The little pin that holds them together broke. Ruger customer service was real helpful with free replacement parts and instructions on how to properly install them but it made that handgun a range toy from that day forward. My wife does have a stupid friend who one afternoon while dining in public announced to everyone within the sound of her voice that we were all safe because I had a pistol on me. I politely denied it even though I was armed. She doesn't always made the best of decisions in life.

My factory ordered Kimber had a blemish on the barrel when I disassembled it for initial cleaning. I sent it to Kimber and received it back 7 days later. It was filthy because they test fired it, but it works flawlessly and I think the trigger is lighter. I’m guessing around 4.5 lbs instead of the original 6. I carry IWB in a kydex holster.

I got the 2 tone with Hogue rubber grips. I changed the grips to SGM green and black G-10 grips. My Kahr had Hogue grips and I wanted a different feel. This is my grips on a very similar gun. I have the 7 rd extended magazines.

The media didn’t go much into motive when a BLM shooter assassinated 5 white Dallas cops 3 years ago last month.

Why would you say that? A gun doesn't make one brave. People asked about it. Another poster has one like it and this is called chit chat. Do you want to hear about my wife's guns? Steer the conversation back to the El Paso shooting if that's what you want to talk about.

I wouldnt mind having one of them myself Tex.

Only weapon I have owned apart from the one between my legs was a Tikka 22-250 rifle, I think you Americans called that calibre a Varmiter.

I'm sure that it is a much better varmiter than my 10/22.

If you move to Texas, I'll tell you where I bought mine. They sell them at dealer cost. Mine was $640 + tax. It took about two weeks to arrive from the Kimber plant in Yonkers, NY.
