Re: Architecture Thread
Architecture is both the process and the product of planning, designing, and constructing buildings or any other structures. Architectural works, in the material form of buildings, are often perceived as cultural or political symbols and as works of art. Historical civilizations are often identified with their surviving architectural achievements. Egypt, Greece, Rome created architecture. Feudal society created architecture. Chinese, Japanese, Indian emperors created architecture. Stalin created architecture, Hitler created architecture, Why, Black Orchid? Was it just for fun or was there a political reason for doing so? Mmmm?

If I was to move to Texas, which one would you recommend, Houston or Dallas?

There were several who died in the Alamo with hispanic surnames. Were they also white supremacists? Many cities and counties in Texas are named after them.brian ross wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 7:10 pmOh, dear, I appear to have upset you, Neferti. Well, I'm not sorry. I prefer to talk about reality, rather than myths. The Texans led by James Bowie and William Travis, were only interested in freedom for white people and wanted to continue to own slaves, despite the Mexican Governments emancipation decree in 1829. Texas was a province of Mexico and the Texans were revolting against the legal government.Neferti~ wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 4:20 pmBuzz off! This thread is about ARCHITECTURE!brian ross wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 3:54 pmWasn't the Alamo more about Texans wanting to own slaves than they were really interested in the ideals of freedom for all, Tex?

Houston is much bigger. It’s much harder to live in a less crowded, lower taxed area and commute in. I wouldn’t live in either city. Dallas is an easier commute. Houston is closer to the coast. You said you are in an entertainment industry. I’d guess Houston would be a better fit.
