I criticise both parties so go and take your meds Brian I hear the nurse calling you for bed. 8-)
I am not talking about criticism. I am talking about you posting something positive about the ALP...
:rofl Bri Bri's criteria for not making up lies about people now includes a mutual obligation where they
1. Not mention any of the lefts money grabbing dickhead policies.
2. Be a shill for his shitty side.

No, you've supplied evidence that some unions want to discuss this, not that they will get it, Bobby. As I keep pointing out, the Unions do not control the ALP any more and haven't for over the last 40 years.

It has everything to do with the Tories. They have destroyed full time employment in this country. Their claims about job creation are based on casual employment, not full time employment.
dear Brian,
The unions are a major force behind the Labor policy.
In many ways the Labor party are puppets of the unions.
And the Tories are puppets of the Big End of town.

Neither is controlled expressly by either group. The ALP did away with the Pledge under Hawke. The Unions no more control the party than the Business Council control the Tories. You need to be realistic, Bobby and not believe in the bullshit scare campaign that the Tories put out. The ALP are going to win the next election. They are not stupid. They know what damage Death Taxes would do to their chances. It will not be an ALP policy.
It's true that there has been a rise in part time jobs under the Tories.
Something realistic at last.
I don't like either major party -
none stand up for what I want.
They do their own thing -
have their own ideas about what's good for us.
They never ask us for what we want unless it's poofter marriage -
no voting referendum on immigration numbers etc.
( even though they could have easily made it part of the upcoming election )
They give us the illusion of choice but really - there is no choice.
They give you real choice, Bobby. Do you want the Tories who give your tax money to the Big End of town or do you want the ALP who care and look after everybody else? Mmmmm?

Brian,
neither party cares about the battlers.
It's all lip service.

If you're going to be that cynical, no party cares about anybody, Bobby. Not the independents, not the small parties, not the minor parties and not the big parties. No one.

dear Brian,
I am very cynical about politicians.
I just hope that there are enough independents to block any crazy legislation in the Senate -
especially if it's going to make battlers sell the family home to pay a robbery tax.

Labor seems to think that young couples, in the 1970s and 1980s (and before that too), who saved like crazy and did without to save a deposit to buy a house in SYDNEY (plus other Cities) that is now worth millions are "rich", and should be punished!

Sure they paid their Mortgage, had kids, went without stuff like every young couple who gets a Mortgage. The fact that they worked hard and eventually paid off their Mortgage and now OWN the house, doesn't mean much to the Leftards. They want their share! Socialist style.

Just because your house is "worth" whatever, doesn't mean you are rich.

However, I would recommend that everybody "goes without" to make sure that they do have somewhere to live (paid off) as they get old .... otherwise you have nobody else but yourself to blame for having to rent when on the Pension!

Sitting around on Forums, whining about stuff doesn't get any sympathy from me. Sorry. That's the way Life is. It wasn't meant to be easy. ;)

Reads like someone who put in a reasonable effort during their own life and is rightly proud of what they have.

But Labor will be after your house when you're gone.
Your kids will have to sell it to pay the tax.
So much for Labor looking after the kids of Australia.

Also - if Labor brings it in - don't expect the Libbos to rescind it.
