Dr Howard Bath, the Northern Territory's Children's Commissioner said the most recent statistics from the NT's five major government hospitals showed that in 2010 the number of non-indigenous females hospitalised for assault was 0.3 for every thousand women in the population.

The rate for indigenous females was 24.1 per thousand, or 80 times the rate.
Apparently it's not 'commonplace' though and anyone who wants to shed a light on this appalling situation with a view to help change these horrendous statistics should just be met with chants of 'racist'.

Unbelievable!
Brian is also a big supporter of Islam and Oppression of woman by use the Burqa and other such means etc
Really? Am I? You should be able to quote back passages where I have supported the wearing of the Burqa, then Mechie? Here, this is where you can post it. I look forward to your efforts:

While you're at it, you can post some passages where I have supported Islam as anything other than the personal choice of Muslims:

Of you go. Of course, a failure on your part indicates that you're just muck racking again. Right?
see the pattern here?

Brian won't even address the statistics that show he is either lying or ignorant of the FACTS...

the FACT that he wont address those statistics tells me that he already knew about them.. but like all women haters hide behind slogans like "you racist" etc etc etc...

This from you? The man who never provides links to where he finds his quotes. A man who quotes conspiranut crap everywhere? Oh, please, Mechie, it appears I have wronged you. Tough. I simply demand of you the same standard I apply to myself. You however feel that you are above such things.

Nope. It all depends on how the issue is couched and what solutions are suggested, Black Orchid. The problem is that the division lines of poverty and "Race" all too often coincide in Australia society and solutions intended to better Indigenous Australians are criticised because of the "race" of the recipients, rather than applauded because of it helping the issue of poverty. Pauline Hanson is a prima fascia case here. She will openly criticise people on the issue of "race" but won't look at the reasons why things are being done the way they are being done.
Unbelievable!
Yep. You really are, Black Orchid.

JUST LOOKED AT SOME STATS.

These wonderful people are dying because we treat them like special children.
They dont do anything to make themselves better, because we simply give them everything.
People need to do something worthwhile to feel good about themselves
Just giving and giving will only spoil them and they will never have respect for themselves or others.
The stats below are damning,
But they tell a story.
When you hate yourself, you take it out on others.
we need to stop the mollycoddling and make them be better people.
make them work, make them contribute.

An Aboriginal woman is 45 times more likely to experience domestic violence than a white woman. Violence patterns are passed on from parents to their children.

A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

Just for Bri Bri, here's a space for him to retract his false statement about the statistical high level of rape among indigenous communities.

Over to you, Bri... your apology?

IQ what is sad about this is an awful lot of aboriginal activists use that as weapons to keep the PITY ME INDUSTRY thriving...

it stops the conversation dead..

they are so immature they have nothing but history to drag up and use as a weapon..EVEN SOME STOOOPID WHITE FOLKS THINK WE CAN CHANGE HISTORY...

pathetic...

but when you think how aboriginals think....

I WILL BE A MUCH BETTER PERSON IF I HAD A TREATY...
I WILL BE A MUCH BETTER PERSON IF WHITEY SAID 'SORRY'
I WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PERSON IF I HAD MY OWN LAND.[MABO]
I WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PERSON IF I WASNT SENT TO JAIL.
I WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PERSON IF WHITEY DIDNT MENTION RAPE AND CHILDREN WHEN TALKING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

if only whitey would shut up.

Oh, dearie, dearie, me. So, why do Indigenous people suffer high levels of violence? It is because so many of them were stolen as children from their parents and placed in foster homes that they have few real parenting examples to learn from. They were beaten and raped as children (by white people) so they beat and rape their own children. They never learnt to manage their lives properly so they fail to manage their lives and relationships properly. Simples really but too hard for Mechie to understand. He just prefers to blame the victims. How unusual.

You know, it is said that the only way you can understand a person's problems is to walk a mile in their shoes. Anyone here willing to go to an Indigenous community and live and try and understand the problems they face? Anyone? Anyone willing to put their hands up? No, I didn't think so. You just prefer to sit behind your computer screens and let it go, hey, criticising without any understanding.

As I keep saying, it is a shame that the fissures of poverty and "race" overlap each other in Australian society so much.

Perhaps what they are trying to do, Cods is make people like Valkie, IQ, you, Black Orchid, all the Racists is recognise the effects that history have today, now, on people alive now. To you, "history" is something that happened last week. To it's victims, it is something that effects them now. Indigenous people have seen their culture, their tribes, their families destroyed by history. They have been thrown on the scrap heap by white people and they resent that - understandibly. All people are trying to do is to get people like you to acknowledge the history of Australia - the real history - the history that people like John Howard dismiss as "black armband" history. It may be but it is real history.

How many Indigenous Australians do you know, personally, Cods? Any at all? I don't mean the people out in remote communities, I mean modern, educated Indigenous Australians? You know, the ones who live in cities, amongst white people? Any at all? No, of course not. You just like to sit behind your computer screen and pontificate. Typical.

How many is "so many" Bri Bri?
Are you
a) ignorant
b) completely retarded
C) just your typical evil and deceitful leftist?

Pick a box Bri bri. Outright lies, like your one above gives you a choice of those 3.
However, I am a generous fellow so the choice of which skin you prefer to wear is yours.
I personally believe you are most likely all 3.
