the other lady on the program made so much more sense... a very impressive speaker.... and to me she looked more aboriginal than styles...
I don't think Stynes is aboriginal. I think her mother is Japanese. No idea about the father but highly doubtful he is aboriginal.
Her mother is Japanese, her father is a fifth generation Australian. I think she'd have her own perspective on what Racism actually is, being part Japanese and growing up in rural Victoria.

Dr Howard Bath, the Northern Territory's Children's Commissioner said the most recent statistics from the NT's five major government hospitals showed that in 2010 the number of non-indigenous females hospitalised for assault was 0.3 for every thousand women in the population.

The rate for indigenous females was 24.1 per thousand, or 80 times the rate.
Apparently it's not 'commonplace' though and anyone who wants to shed a light on this appalling situation with a view to help change these horrendous statistics should just be met with chants of 'racist'.

Unbelievable!

to be honest with you lack orchid people like brian has taken all the real meaning of those words away..

they shout it from every corner....without realising they are doing exactly the same thing.....

but of course whitey is expected to take it on the chin....and shut up...

Kerry Anne is not responsible for anything that happened two hundred years ago any more than you or I am.. and I for one am sick to death of the GUILT brigade...

I wonder how many of the 10.000 are living on whities hand outs.. they are not too proud to take that are they?....

sooner or later the worm will turn....and when all the laws and rules include our indigenous friends....they may then see the ugly side of living in the real world...

baby time is over..

Brian is also a big supporter of Islam and Oppression of woman by use the Burqa and other such means etc

see the pattern here?

Brian won't even address the statistics that show he is either lying or ignorant of the FACTS...

the FACT that he wont address those statistics tells me that he already knew about them.. but like all women haters hide behind slogans like "you racist" etc etc etc...

I cant remember where I read it, but there were some stats that stated that just 6.5% of aboriginals actually worked and paid taxes.

Many "Work" for aboriginal causes, in other words paid an excessive amount to do virtually nothing.

We had one where I live that was given a 4x4 and paid a good wage to "Monitor" some rock that was damaged when they put the cable through the area.
Why he needed the 4x4 was questionable, because the rock was 100 metres from the road and inaccessible by any vehicle, even a 4x4.

we also had the local abbo crew demanding back their land between the Entrance and Soldiers beach.
They were too lazy, incompetent or greedy to do it themselves, so the National parks went to bat for them, as long as they got to keep 50% of the land.

No sooner was the title deeds handed over, before the ink was dry, and the abbos sold the land to a megga rich golf club syndicate.
In just two years a sizable portion of the money was gone, who knows where?
An administrator was appointed, they didn't like that much, ill tell you.

And they are still looking to grab any land they can, simply to re-sell.
Its a crock of shite.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

She is the one abusing Indigenous people by assuming that Rape is commonplace in Indigenous communities, Black Orchid. When you actually understand what "Racism" means, you'll be half way to understanding how she is being Racist.

Kennerly who was once famous because she was a TV celebratory. When was she last in the outback, in a remote Indigenous community, hey?
Maybe she thinks if she goes to an Abbo community they'd rape her?

I was merely stating that Rape was not as commonplace as Kennely believes.
Really?
Indigenous reporting of rape isn't significantly higher than for non-Indigenous populations in Australia.
14% of children on South Australian Aṉangu, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara (APY) Aboriginal lands have been sexually abused.
Compared to all of SA population: 0.12%.
An Aboriginal child in 2009 is 7x more likely to be sexually abused than a non-Aboriginal child
An Aboriginal woman in 2012 is 6x more likely to be sexually abused than a non-Aboriginal woman
Your ignorance is only eclipsed by your lack of shame.

The handful of protesters outside the Channel 10 studios today should not have been calling for the sacking of Kerri-Anne Kennerley for telling the truth.

They should have been calling out Yumi Stynes using the oldest and most cowardly trick in the book, shutting down debate by crying ‘racism’.

My white grandmother — yes I had a white one who loved me, as well as a black one — used to say that patriotism is the last resort of the coward. Now accusations of racism are the first resort of the coward who doesn’t want to face the hard and terrible truth. That’s how you immediately shut down the debate, signal your own virtue and your occupation of the moral high ground, and completely discredit your opponents — that is, if they are white. This is a form of racism in itself. No folks ... you don’t have to be white to be racist.

The really dangerous racism is turning a blind eye to the facts of the matter, so that Aboriginal women, children, yes and even men, continue to suffer horrific lives.

Aboriginal women nationally are 35 times more likely than the average to be hospitalised by DV, 80 times more in some communities, those where the old languages are still spoken and the most traditional ceremonies are still carried out.

Nationally Aboriginal men are 23 more times more likely than the average to be hospitalised by DV. The problem is the far higher level of acceptance of interpersonal violence in our culture — yes that is part of our culture. Everybody suffers and it has to stop.

It’s not going to stop by blaming Captain Cook and Arthur Phillip or through long term, symbolic gestures that one day, just maybe, might improve things.

We need to make the perpetrators of today’s horrific crimes take responsibility now.

The protesters and virtue-signallers, who are mostly white, claim to have the well being of our people at heart. They all sprout the same rhetoric. They use trigger words like ‘white privilege’ without acknowledging the huge privileges they have in comparison to the most marginalised of Aboriginal people.

They speak the national language, have access to the media, have been educated, hold the jobs. Their message is divisive and they try to tear us apart instead of trying to bring us together to deal effectively with the crisis facing us.

This is not about a divide between black and white. It is about the gap between the marginalised in regional Australia and the urban elite.

I invite those people, as I have invited others, to come to remote indigenous communities — or even to towns like Alice Springs — and see the appalling domestic violence, the alcoholism, the addiction, and the sexual assault.

Leave your fashionable homes and your chic cafes. Come and spend a few nights in the war zone of violence and degradation that is a reality for so many Aboriginal children, women and — yes — men.

Don’t be distracted by a demand to be given a voice by government. Don’t be distracted by trendy ‘activism’ that has you marching in the streets on Australia Day while ignoring what happens every day — not just one day a year — in the streets of Alice Springs and communities like it.

Stand up for the abused, the battered, the sexually assaulted and shout ‘Enough is enough!

For once in this country, let the voiceless be heard. The urban elite need to take the cotton wool out of their ears and put it in their mouths.

Jacinta Price is an Alice Springs councillor.

bri bri this from a lady who actually lives and works in the outback...

you would do far more good listening to her than a dozen Yumis....

What KAK said was not put tactfully or nuanced, but was essentially spot on.

The abuse of women children in Aboriginal communities is orders of magnitude higher than white Australia.
