In reality, my "ilk" recognises that society is changing and changing rapidly around us. What you hold dear is of les consequence today than it was 30 years ago. Today, some kids are "gender fluid" in their attitudes and their desires. They deserve to be treated as well as the other kids and by the other kids and society. A fact of life. Time you caught up with the rest of society and recognised it. We have seen society moving more and more to a recognition that being Gay, transgender and so on is normal. Not everybody has to do it or become it, they just have to recognise that those people as just as human as are all other humans. Something religious leaders are finding debated around them.
The three R's are important but as I have said, as long as parents fail dismally to teach their kids how to treat each other and other people, the Education system will be called upon to step in and do the job. You don't like the job? Then vote against it. Me? I don't care. My kids have all long finished school and I am satisfied with the result. Between the Education system(s) and myself, my kids have turned out alright. The kids of tomorrow, I don't doubt will turn out alright, after a few corners have been knocked off of them.
You're welcome to keep on having a giant tizzy if you want. Unless you either train as a teacher and work in the Public School System or become a Politician and work against these things, they will not change.
