Did you know that the black striped Wallaby is also endangered? Yet you have the nerve to eat roo meat.

Whales roam the oceans of the world..are hunted by more than just one country..whales know no bounderies..know no danger zones, so therfore are more vulnerable .

They're numbers ( blue whales ) have fallen alarmingly and how do we save the blue whale once numbers drop so low that there are not enough in number to sustain theyre own populations..put them is a zoo , clone them?

Do you have proof perfect that they dont kill blue whales?

If you say so..and even if that were true, having the knowledge is no good if we just sit and watch but dont change anything. How did the blue whale population drop to less than 3% without at least some intervention...alert?

Why do you refer to anyone who gives a stuff about animals/trees/anything environmental as hippies ( as if its an insult almost .. I think 'hippies' give a shit no matter how deluded some may see them and before you ask or assume, I am NOT a hippie..just tired of the insults thrown around in their name)

I don't. I care about the environment. That's why I promote sustainable food sources, like whales. I usually throw the term hippy around for people who don't think things through.

Yes I know you care about the environment FD, but argueing for whales to be used a sustainable source is going to elicit some prickly responses ..even if you are right..try argueing the same thing for a cute koala ?

There's not much meat on a koala. Plus, people's pet dogs do a more than good enough job of keeping their numbers down.

I do however promote the harvest of possums, especially brushtails. I think it is actually illegal in most states. By harvesting possums, we would get a sustainable soruce of meat right at our front doorsteps, we would be able to grow a lot more food in our own backyards, and there would be a lot more birds around. Brushtails are in far higher than normal numbers do to suburbia etc, and their high numbers upsets the balance of nature, especially when they go round eating bird eggs.
