Speaking of Windschuttle, as I don't doubt some people here will, here is a copy of James Boyce's (author of the acclaimed book, "Van Dieman's Land") Quadrant Article which PP McGuinness then editor refused to publish which demolishes Windschuttle rather well. It is well worth reading

There is plenty of evidence that the Indigenous Australians were a varied lot, with simply nomadic lifestyles in the centre of Australia to more settled existence around the periphery.
Were ANY of the above authors around back in 1770 when Joseph Banks actually SAW the "natives" for the very first time and recorded that in his own handwriting in his Journal? Read The Journal, that is a REAL first hand knowledge of what they were like when they were first seen in their natural habitat. There are sketches of them and how they were living too. You should have a read of it at the site I listed.
