LOL.... if you want to learn something I suggest you read your posts and then figure out just how many people fit that bill....

My guess NONE was correct then eh Bobby... guess what... most people are like us... don't need one and never will. :thumb

Some people do need a gun.
What about that jewellery shop in Melbourne that was robbed again by darkies?
The owner of a jewellery shop with millions of dollars of precious jewels
can't use a gun to protect his business.
It's outrageous and the darkies see them as easy targets.

Yes

We have a great legal system

Guilty until proven innocent

And you MUST give evidence, keeping mum is an offence.

But protect yourself, go to hell.

Under Australian law, there is no such thing as self defence.

If you injure your attacker and hang around

The cops can arrest you and charge you
The moron judges will convict you of "using undue force to protect yourself"

If you beat some attacker to a pulp, run away.

The cops cover themselves as well.
When they arrest you they charge you with
Resisting arrest
Attempting to evade legal custody and
Assault police

Even if you simply surrendered, this is called the trifecta.

That way if you beat the charge or if the cops got it wrong....again
Those three charges are still valid.
It's their insurance policy.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

With the advent of the internet it's probably good that we don't have guns. 8-)

Well - we live in an unjust society.
There is nothing much we can do about it.

I have not been in many altercations,
No kidding, worked that one out from the get go. The ones who talk the big talk are generally quite inexperienced.
And you have been in many eh?

I am a trained martial artist, sho-dan
I have trained many other martial artists as well as women and children in self defense.
I fought competitively for 6 years, With only marginal success, I started late and was fighting many younger and fitter fighters.
I was undefeated in knife fighting, but was absolutely lousy with nunchucks, hated the damn things.
But I was passable with a Boe Staff and Sai.

We practiced group fighting and attacks regularly, and I have had my nose broken several times.
My jaw has been broken twice and most of my fingers have been impacted, I will have arthritis as I get older.
I fight with open hands, looking to grab or hold my opponent, to lock him up and subdue him, hence fingers get injured.
But these have all been in controlled fights with opponents who will stop is asked.
On the street, this will not happen, does not happen.

As martial artists, we do not go looking for fights, unless you are a moron, and morons seldom stay with any Dojo as the instructors do not need morons and suggest they leave, sometimes forcibly.

The only altercations I have been involved with outside the ring have been where I cannot talk my way out of it.
I have nothing to prove, I have fought some of the best in the world. Not won many, but still I have done myself proud in most cases.
In the few I have had, I walked away, not my attacker or attackers.
I have been lucky, the most were three on me at once, two of who were too drunk to be a problem.

To me fighting is a sport, but a sport that is also a weapon.
I don't go for the fancy high or spinning kicks.
I have no intention of closing with my attacker and allowing him to grab or strike me.
Kicks are to the legs, knees, groin, and sweeps.
Any strikes are simply follow through from blocks or locks

But cowards like you have no idea of how to fight
you are the targets for bullies, you are the ones they pick on.

Yes, I have had few altercations outside the ring
because they see no fear in me when they approach.
I give them an out, not acting threateningly and apologizing for any perceived wrongs.
But when they attack, I do not hold back, all three fights were over in less time that you can count to 10, one less than 2.

I enjoyed my martial arts.
I was average, not great, but against the uninitiated, I can easily hold my own.

My bet is that a coward like you has never been in a real fight.
yep. As I said, "The ones who talk the big talk are generally quite inexperienced."

What provides you with the feature to speak for everyone? Are you God? You should get lost. Promptly.
The one that says the least can often have a very different perspective and hold the answer. The least qualified person may hold the most wisdom. When you don’t have knowledge or experience blocking your perspective, you can see problems and solutions.

I gave some good examples of where someone could have a genuine need of
a firearm for protection, but my arguments were ignored.
Therefore - this is not a true debate -
you can't ignore powerful arguments.
