A stick? A table? A stool? A glass? A bottle? Anything can and has been used as a weapon in the past. America (and it appears Bulgaria) are uncivilised places where gun nuttery rules the roost. Australia is a civilised nation, where Gun Nuts are treated with disdain and their views ignored as being lunatic and pointless. Australia is a peaceful (largely) law-abiding society. We as a society decided not to go down the Wild West path after the Port Arthur Massacre in 1996. You are welcome to order your society as you see fit, Flektarn. Australia is not Bulgaria (thank goodness). You can be as neo-Nazi and as bigoted as you like - in Bulgaria. I pity the non-neo-Nazi Bulgarians, thats all.
You should really try to control your angst, Brian. I can sense you pounding the keyboard.

It is, absolutely, none of your business what people are able to do in America, Bulgaria or anywhere else. Cease and desist the Holier than Thou crap.

Leave Flektarn alone. He isn't hurting anyone.
He attacks me at every opportunity.

As a long-term touch typist, I have never "pounded a keyboard" in my life. I am unsure why you think you and others here get under my skin. I am a long term veteran of online debating, having first come online over 35 years ago, well before the invention of the Internet. I have seen all the insults, all the verbage. It just rolls like water off a duck's back as far as I am concerned.

Yeah

He lives in a country who's people have some rights

Unlike Australia's dictatorship started by howard the murdering war criminal coward and continued by every successive grubberment since.

howard the coward murdered people just to get his draconian gun laws passed.

This little dictator wannabe also allowed Australians to die in the Bali bombings rather than warn them, just so he could go to war.

I hope he suffers in hell for eternity, the little grub
Oh, dearie, dearie, me. Lordy, lordy, Valkie you sure do speak bullshit, you know?

Isn't ROBUST (strong, vigorous, sturdy, tough, powerful, powerfully built, solidly built, as strong as a horse/ox, muscular, sinewy, rugged, hardy, strapping, brawny, burly, husky;) part of PA?

Nothing offends me so that is a moot point. The point is we keep getting new members and all anyone wants to do it fight in all the top threads.

There is a place to fight, if you are so inclined, so why not use it and leave the top threads relatively sane? I find the constant fighting and angst positively boring and childish ... but not offensive.

Hmmm percentages are not actually a good way to measure things
Statistics can be useful but Flecktarns example shows they can be manipulated to present a point of view opposite to what the statistics actually suggest. For example Flecktarn has used all violent crime statistics and presented them as gun crime. Wheras we know that here in Australia most violent crime is not committed with a gun, neither are most armed robberies. Home invasions are also miniscule as compared to a country like the U.S.

Guns are not the issue Brian, For the most part there are more fatalities when guns are used , But if that guy in Melbourn had half a brian he could have taken a lot of lives
despite what our resident "expert" on knife fighting believes its not that easy for an untrained person to take out someone with a knife if they are a moving target. It has happened but if you will notice most knife attacks if fatal are limited to a single fatality.

Knives are banned in Australia. You can't just EDC carry like for the sake of the EDC like in USA, Bulgaria, Poland, Czechia or Austria.
The one that says the least can often have a very different perspective and hold the answer. The least qualified person may hold the most wisdom. When you don’t have knowledge or experience blocking your perspective, you can see problems and solutions.
