Nothing offends me so that is a moot point. The point is we keep getting new members and all anyone wants to do it fight in all the top threads.

Statistics can be useful but Flecktarns example shows they can be manipulated to present a point of view opposite to what the statistics actually suggest. For example Flecktarn has used all violent crime statistics and presented them as gun crime. Wheras we know that here in Australia most violent crime is not committed with a gun, neither are most armed robberies. Home invasions are also miniscule as compared to a country like the U.S.

Guns are not the issue Brian, For the most part there are more fatalities when guns are used , But if that guy in Melbourn had half a brian he could have taken a lot of lives

despite what our resident "expert" on knife fighting believes its not that easy for an untrained person to take out someone with a knife if they are a moving target. It has happened but if you will notice most knife attacks if fatal are limited to a single fatality.
