The Bible is all poetry and hyperbole -
it's not meant to be taken literally as religious extremists do all the time.
Exactly.
But there are some out there who are foolish enough to believe every word written.
I like to think that it had these outlandish claims, and stories to make people take a step back and say...." Hang on, that's not riii....."
Opening their minds and giving them the ability to think for themselves.
Remember, we have been given self awareness and free will.
But some cults try to force feed their interpretation on people, stating that the Koran is a historical and exact book of facts.
No wonder the followers are confused.
And, this is why the cult of death appeals to low IQ individuals, because they need to be led and have no ability to think for themselves.
Much like bwyannnnnnnn.
When I was doing engineering, we has this text book on fluid dynamics.
The lecturer who wrote it was in fact my lecturer at the time.
While doing some work, I forgot the formula for a particular problem, so I developed my own based on my understanding of fluid dynamics.
In short, gas ( for the purposes of general fluid equations) becomes incompressable once it becomes a fluid.
Anyhoo, I did my computations and passed it to the lecturer who promptly put a big red x through it because it didn't have the answer he knew it was.
I asked him where I went wrong, aside from not using the formula.
He worked through it and discovered, to his dismay, that I was correct, he considered gas infinitely compressible.
Even the smartest ( and this guy was a genius, as well as a nice bloke) make mistakes.
Always question What you either are not sure of or don't believe.
Sometimes it just takes a new set of eyes to find a glaring error.
