A woman motorist grabbed the crotch of a policeman and offered him sexual favours when he gave her a breath test, a jury heard.

Sally Brown, 39, was stopped by the young constable in the early hours of the morning, a court heard.

As he was explaining to her how to use the breathalyser kit she told him: ‘I will blow you’, it was alleged.

York Crown Court was told three police officers, including the complainant were in a vehicle in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, at 4.14am on February 28 this year.

Prosecutor Mehran Nassiri said: ‘They came across a Suzuki Swift driving in front of them.

‘The manner of the driving caused the officers to stop the vehicle and they formed the view Miss Brown was under the influence.

‘They invited her to provide a roadside sample. The equipment was not calibrated. So other equipment was brought.

‘The PC was explaining she had to blow into the tube and she said ‘I will blow you’ - and grabbed the officer by the crotch.’

I had to lodge some documents at a local Court last year and while I was there I went into the Court room to listen in.

There were a string of DUI offenders. Some were second and third offenders. No BJs offered to the Judge but they were all let off with a slap on the wrist.

I was stunned to be honest. A third offender based his defence on needing his car to get to work and I can't remember now what happened but it was nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Don't drink and drive and if you do, and especially when you continue to do so, there should be consequences that will deter you from doing it again. It's ridiculous.

That's probably been a regular occurrence for decades. I bet there would be the occasional officer who succumbed, but probably before police cameras were in use.

Really? I've never been stopped by the Police. Although I recall, many years ago, driving in a 60 kph area at around 80 kph and I looked left and there was a Copper in full uniform passing me.
