It's not the norm because, in my opinion, they don't have an inspiring and authoritative personality to take the helm.Neferti~ wrote:This rubbish is not normal for the Liberals. This is Labor crap. Brought on by the consistent rubbishing of Tony Abbott in the Media.
I don't agree. After the Rudd/Gillard debacle I think the general public is taking more notice than ever.Neferti~ wrote:The General Public really doesn't care or take notice of this stuff, but .... when it comes to Election Time, they do listen and watch what is being said about "personalities".
So does Joe Hockey. He's my local member and I have met him several times. He's a lovely man but I think he would be a weak PM and wouldn't be my first choice. I was born a Catholic but care not for any religion. Abbott does have a tendency to get bogged down in it though and I don't like that.Neferti~ wrote:I have never met Tony Abbott (nor John Howard) but Tony comes across as a genuinely nice family man. He's a catholic and I am an agnostic but I wouldn't hold that against him.
I prefer not to judge people on their physical appeal or that of their family.Neferti~ wrote:I tend to agree with Mantra that his daughters look rather "horsey" but they are decent kids. His wife still works (childcare), she doesn't show up to wave to the crowds at photo-ops, like the Rudd wife and family did and we can't forget Gillard's "beard" lapping it up at every opportunity. Man's Shed anyone? What happened to that?
Prince Duke Sir Phillip ring a bell? From what I have read he did not run it by anyone other than Credlin. Perhaps he has a chance if he sends her packing.Neferti~ wrote:OK, so Tony has been making decisions (as PM) without consultation? Who said that? He would have, undoubtedly, passed/discussed his ideas to his Deputy (Bishop). Many people don't understand the hierarchy in the public domain. There are unwritten "rules".
