Like I said, Rome wasn't built in a day, give the bloke a chance to repair some of the damage Labour caused.

Similarly, Howard inherited a Keating Labor deficit, how many years did it take for Howard to return a surplus again?

Hint....a little more than 18 months.

Abbott might have been in the same Ministry as Howard but he doesn't come close to being Howard.

Howard out-stayed his time and towards the end of his term he lost the confidence of the people. Abbott never really had it to begin with.

There is no comparison.

How would you know if he doesn't come close to being Howard, you haven't given him a chance.

I distinctly recall the chorus of the disaffected calling for Howards resignation early in his term, now imagine if he had have stepped down.

It makes sense to give Abbott more than 18 months to repair several years of Labor squandering.

No?

At least wait until the next election to make an informed decision based on Abbotts achievements or lack there of. :roll

Furthermore, why are we endorsing tribal cannibalism, Malcolm Fraser was a cannibal too, and like Turnbull, ate his own.

Not true liberals i'm afraid, i'd never vote Turnbull.

Latest is that there has been a call for a Leadership "spill" by a couple of WA MPs. MP Luke Simpkins and MP Don Randall. It's all on Andrew Bolt's Blog if you are interested to read the comments.

I had to smile at this comment:
This is what Parliament has become: Get 150 kids with Attention Deficit Disorder. Fill them full of red cordial. Then, make them eat three fairy floss’ each followed quickly by two hotdogs. Put them on a ferris wheel and spin them around in circles at 200kms per hour for fifty minutes. Let them disembark and give them two more glasses of red cordial and a free puppy. Lock them all in the chamber of Parliament and ask them to all face the same direction.
:rofl :rofl :rofl

I cant see a spill amounting to anything more than a renewed and strengthened in-party support for Tony Abbott, despite the WA crackpot Turnbull fanboys claims.

I will NOT vote for Turnbull and most Liberal Party voters agree.

I see that Barnaby Joyce is stating that the National's support is not unconditional!

Let's hope that a majority of Coalition Members get behind Tony Abbott. The MSN is to blame for all this rubbish and really pissing me off. I gave up watching the TV evening News years ago when KRudd's head was on every night. I am about to stop reading the online newspapers as well. :rofl

The entire affair is absolutely ridiculous, Turnbull probably purchased the WA members calling for the spill a sports car each.

Look, if you think Abbotts unpopular .... the vast majority of the party hate Turnbull more, so if he's their alternative....good luck with that.

That's the problem, he doesn't have the in-party support and never really has. He was an "accidental leader".

I think you'll find this isn't the case.
