We all know the mess he inherited but he needs to find a better balance between rewarding the rich and hurting the poor in order to survive and I don't think he can.

Like I said, Rome wasn't built in a day, give the bloke a chance to repair some of the damage Labour caused.

Similarly, Howard inherited a Keating Labor deficit, how many years did it take for Howard to return a surplus again?

Abbott might have been in the same Ministry as Howard but he doesn't come close to being Howard.

Howard out-stayed his time and towards the end of his term he lost the confidence of the people. Abbott never really had it to begin with.

How would you know if he doesn't come close to being Howard, you haven't given him a chance.

I distinctly recall the chorus of the disaffected calling for Howards resignation early in his term, now imagine if he had have stepped down.

It makes sense to give Abbott more than 18 months to repair several years of Labor squandering.

At least wait until the next election to make an informed decision based on Abbotts achievements or lack there of.

Latest is that there has been a call for a Leadership "spill" by a couple of WA MPs. MP Luke Simpkins and MP Don Randall. It's all on Andrew Bolt's Blog if you are interested to read the comments.

I cant see a spill amounting to anything more than a renewed and strengthened in-party support for Tony Abbott, despite the WA crackpot Turnbull fanboys claims.

I see that Barnaby Joyce is stating that the National's support is not unconditional!

Let's hope that a majority of Coalition Members get behind Tony Abbott. The MSN is to blame for all this rubbish and really pissing me off. I gave up watching the TV evening News years ago when KRudd's head was on every night. I am about to stop reading the online newspapers as well.
