I thought it was FDs that introduced on the Tom toms because Aussie used to give a running commentary on everyone PMing each other.

Plus, as aussie was dishing out ridiculous allegations (all of which had been seen before ad infinitum on this and other forums) fed to him by his sidekick, jones, it was noted by members that they were constantly either typing or reading PMs from/to each other. It was pathetic.

Probably having more cyber babies and/or miscarriages, saving people from burning houses, trying to pay off the 25 cyber limos for the internet wedding, sucking toes in the NT, grocery shopping with twins who are toddlers one week and Uni students a few weeks later.

It had nothing whatever to do with Lisa. It was so simple to observe, and it is still possible to do exactly the same at OzPol. 'Tom toms' was the expression I used, and FD adopted it when he fiddled with the settings.

It was quite jolly fun. It is the sort of humour I really enjoy, of the very subtle, satirical take the piss kind. Most times it is only me who laughs himself stupid because others simply have no idea. Back in the day, cynik, Swami, many, even Mattus would have been all over it.

I am considering changeing my long term tag, the only genuine one I've ever had for more than a decade, to Chingachgook.

Well, it is stupid. Better would have been to ban you for a couple of weeks for what was a case of stalking or mantra could have signed on invisible.

“On the tom toms” is childish. You want to make your mark as Admin then getting rid of crud like that is one way.

We got more Mods and more forums than we have regular posters. Simplify the structure.

"On the Tom Toms" is fine with me. Why would anyone want to see who is browsing which forum or, more to the point, who is typing or reading a PM anyway? That in itself was more kindergarten than just taking away the option.

I think it was our very own mantra who whined about being "caught posting PMs" ..........

IF you remain "hidden" you are incognito and others on the Forum don't know what you are looking at.

Undoubtedly, the Admin and Mods can see who is looking at what, but the rest of us can't.

Why did it happen? Wasn't it because some Useless dikhead was posting crap about who was on and conspiring together at the same time against him. That was great and jolly fun. It out bluffed the conspirators. I loved it. It was also very clevah of me.
