Policy costings Rudd -vrs- Abbott

Post by mellie » Fri Aug 16, 2013 3:29 pm

Some have tried to undermine Tony Abbotts policies before they have even seen them, and argue that Abbott is taking too long to show Australians his policies.

Personally, I think it far better to have costed them first.
Take Rudd's sweeping plan for northern Australia, ... yet he admits that the company tax cut has not yet been costed.

I think the take home message is simple, do you want more yet-to-be costed pre-electoral promises/sweeteners/bribes from the Kevin Rudd/Labor camp, or fully costed policies you can take to the bank?

The Coalition are taking their time because they don’t want to roll-out policies and promises they cant keep.

The coalition have few real policies. Demonising Asylum Seekers is one—if it comes to pass the Greens can contemplate this is what they unleashed blocking the Malaysian Solution.

Direct Action—not going to be implemented, just a glorified Work for the Dole Scheme, maybe.

PPL—doubt this will get up

Fraudband—a faux policy, destined for the round file after 7/9.

Just calling it like I see it.

The nation deserves MUCH better than the two flawed idiots campaigning for our votes.

Why don’t you wait until Tony Abbott's policies have been costed, or do you prefer Rudds un-costed policies?

Yes he does, and they have been costed, it's just they have yet to be released.

Think about it, voters are willing to vote for Abbott without having seen his policies.
What does this say about Labor?

It says, policies or not, Australian voters have had a gut full of a dysfunctional Labor government who have been most irresponsible with our economy.

Rudds stimulus packages failed, we should have been conservatively running a surplus during times of a GFC, not squandering indiscriminately and limping home with a deficit.

At the end of the day, Labor promised a surplus and failed to deliver.

Australians know this, which is why they are about to punish this government come election day.

Abbott has no policies and once Costello hands down his excuse of an “Audit” you will see recession stalk the land.

Hang on a sec.... didn’t Rudd say a recession was inevitable back in 2008?

http://www.abc.net.au/lateline/content/ ... 547969.htm

The problem with Rudd is that money has always come too easily to him, he's like a 21 year old starting out with his first business.

And will a recession benefit Kevin Rudds wife’s Ingeus (welfare to work) company?

The more people out of work, the better I would have thought.

Conflict of interest?

I think so.

Recession, even bank failures were very possible in 2008. That was averted with one of the best real Keynesian stimulus package ever.

Abbott will CAUSE recession through austerity.
