People eat what they eat Bobby. I'll not be a party to the government controlling what food we can buy. If people care for their bodies they will look after them. If they don't the rest of us shouldn't suffer for their bad choices.

I don't have high cholesterol either so I will not take any anti cholesterol medication just in case.

I did see your last post. Why the hell would you want to take statins if you don't need to?

Are our GPs letting us down?

I am on a statin.
My brother in law was on a statin which made him ill and they swapped him onto another and he's ok.
There are GPs and there are GPs.
A mate of mine was on high blood pressure medication.
His GP took his blood pressure one day and because his BP was ok the GP took him off
the BP medication.
Three days later he tells me he was getting out bed and he almost collapsed.
Went to see another GP who indirectly condemned the original GP and said you should take this
medication for the rest of your life...it will keep you alive...
My sister was told she had two kidney stones by her GP
Her specialist said no...it was only shadows...
She received a letter of apology from her GP...
Its all a bit of a raffle I feel and a lot of the time we have to "self diagnose"

I did see your last post. Why the hell would you want to take statins if you don't need to?

It's difficult to work out if you need them or not?
As I said - it's possible to have low cholesterol from a blood test but
still to have arteries blocking up with cholesterol.
Unless you had an angiogram then how would you know?
