.......... The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled Wednesday that Caster Semenya, a two-time Olympic champion and the subject of one of the biggest controversies the track and field world has seen, will have to take medications that suppress her testosterone output to continue competing at the sport’s highest levels.
Semenya had appealed to the court, challenging a controversial International Association of Athletics Federations rule targeting women who naturally produce high levels of testosterone.
By a 2-1 margin, a panel of three arbitrators sided with the IAAF, allowing the sport’s international governing body to maintain its restrictions on athletes such as Semenya, a female competitor who is believed to have an intersex condition that causes her body to naturally produce testosterone at levels much higher than most women. ...........

Actually, this one I don't agree with.
If she's a biological woman even with freakish testosterone, she should be allowed to compete as a woman without having to take drugs.
There will be so few naturally intersex competitors such as her, it will never be a big issue.
Male to women trans competitors, nope. They can enter the chicks with dicks Olympics

RULES ... she has more testosterone than her competitors. I thought that testing that was what decided this?

On sex change, I'm uncompromising. Born a bloke, I'll call you Miss if that floats your boat, but you're a bloke and always will be.
One this one, I reckon a board of doctors should make a medical determination on gender and if it's a female and the testosterone levels are naturally occurring, it can compete against women. This will be really rare. Think of it as winning the genetic lottery, just as Shaquille O'Neal or other outliers have.

I am in two minds about Caster Semenya. S/he is probably one of these rare freaks of nature and the sex verification test results were never released but s/he clearly identifies as a man.
To the best of my knowledge it was born with the underdeveloped sexual organs of both male and female, I guess they would classically be classed as hermaphrodite

This is a tough one, but I really don't like the ruling that s/he has to take medication to lower the testosterone levels.
Better to get a 6 doctors and make a determination, female, can compete, male, sorry.

It's a slippery slope that's for sure but I have not found one picture yet where s/he presents as a female.
If, off the track, s/he presents as a male I have a bit of a problem with that if s/he wants to complete against women.
