In Australia, we have no guarantee of "free speech" under Australian law and never have. Sydney and Melbourne are two separate cities, divided by over over 800 kilometres of land. They have developed very differently. Both host approximately 4, 500, 000 Australians. Last time I checked, Australia had a population of 25 million. Looks to me like they have 1 in 5 of the total population, between them. Melbourne is far more cosmopolitan than Sydney. Perhaps Sydney doesn't know how to do Multiculturalism whereas Melbourne does?

As for the "shocking violence", it appears to me that crime and in particular violent crime rates have been dropping over the last ~100 years. As to the level of violence, I suspect that has dropped as well. Media has sensationalised of course the crimes that do get detected and I suspect your views are feed by such tabloid journalism.

No, I am saying those who get along with people who aren't White, Anglo-Saxon/Celtic, Christian (preferable Protestant no doubt) and who get along with other people, far outnumber you, Black Orchid. Sydney presently only has 362,541Muslims in it's population, out of 4.5 million other people. That is approximately .8% of the total population. I am unsure why you believe that Muslims outnumber other Sydneysiders.
