Mine is much dearer as it involves keeping my Telstra Foxtel (Satellite)Neferti~ wrote:Well, I checked and I did only sign up for the Basic - "NBN12" which says you will get 12 Mbps, so my 11Mbps is OK. That's $59.95 a month for internet and phone. My old plan was $39.95 for the internet and it used to cost me about $30 for the landline.
My friend who got the 28 Mbps, signed up for a much higher (more expensive) one, not sure which but he and his son both play online games so they want much more "power" than I do.
Redneck apparently had the NBN installed recently too, haven't asked him what sort of plan he has and how the speed is. Red? Do you want to share?
It starts at $129/month (basic foxtel) + any extra Foxtel packages ($10-$30 each) it includes all calls-- although I notice today the website states payg calls which is bullshit in my case. (maybe they have changed it?)
I did download speed tests before and after and it went from 4Mb/s before to 26Mb/s - six times as fast which is great in my opinion.
Apparently speed goes up to 40Mb/s between 7pm-11pm at night according to the website.
