Pssst. Orthodoxy is a world wide religion.
(It's not just the domain of Geeks.)
And it has a lot to answer for....unfortunately

They do...but Islam, Catholicism and Orthodoxy stand out as the worst offenders and in that order.Redneck wrote:Dont they all!lisa jones wrote:Been Googling here....nothing.Redneck wrote:Cant say I have heard anything either!lisa jones wrote:Anyway.....back to the topic.

Anyway, back to these twins...I'm wondering now... IF the remaining bub does survive, it will probably be left with severe brain damage.
What a frightening outcome.
How did these TWO babies drown?
Two????
You just don't leave a baby unattended near water. Not even for a second.
Sorry... I'm just very angry and upset about this tragedy

to be honest lisa I think most of us are still in shock over this....but I do believe the parents have suffered enough
I can only guess what they have been and are still going through....I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.
its cruel beyond belief..I am still hoping for a positive outcome for the little boy...I am sure he is in the best hands..

Too many drownings this year already and I strongly believe that too many people come here from other countries and don't teach their children the dangers of the surf nor do they teach their young children/toddlers how to float at a very early age if they have pools.

Do the primary schools still have compulsory swimming lessons?Black Orchid wrote:Too many drownings this year already and I strongly believe that too many people come here from other countries and don't teach their children the dangers of the surf nor do they teach their young children/toddlers how to float at a very early age if they have pools.
When I lived in Sydney I was surrounded by swimming pools so had my daughter taught to "swim" when she was about 2.5. You still had to watch them like a hawk, though as they don't actually swim as such, just learn how to keep afloat. We used to go sailing on the Harbour most weekends as well and she had to wear a life-jacket (obviously). I have never been a strong swimmer so I doubt I would dive in to rescue somebody larger than a small child!
