Oh look, voter fraud in Texas.
And in Virginia, too!
How's Obama going?

Heh! Who of the US Presidential candidates are you most closely aligned with?
For me:
Barack Obama 76%
Jill Stein 70%
Stewart Alexander 39%
Ron Paul 17%
Gary Johnson 57%
Mitt Romney 17%

Re: How's Obama going?
Hence the push by the repugs to use the excuse of voter fraud for disenfranchising those of hispanic ethnicity. The Decline of the Republican Party in the USA
___________________
For those interested in the coming US election this article by Pat Buchanan in “The American Conservative “is very interesting and revealing
He sees the Repubs facing a series of major demographic changes that all go against their electoral fortunes
The Repubs stalwarts are white/elderly/christian./middle-class…. in a country that is growing less and less so in these areas
In California for example ..the state’s white voters are now outnunbered by blacks/hispanics/asians…as is the case in N.Y,,and many other cities
Recent surveys show that despite the public role of christian fundamentalists, almost20% of US citizens now profess no religion at all…..and this is highest amongst the young where Repub support is lowest
In all major urban areas…Chicago/Seattle./Baltimore./Boston /. Denver./Cleveland.. the Repub vote is down over a period of years.. as the 3 major non-white ethnic groups grow in political skills and power
The Hispanics are a particular problem for the Repubs as they have been the target of much racist abuse from the Tea Party and are a very cohesive groups..and used to operating inside trade unions /community groups/and the Catholic Church… which they have taken over in some areas in the west and south west
In some areas they are a force in loca government, and very powerful in L,A
San Franscisco the city has a polical dominant classof the ethnic group and the city’s large gay community…also lost to the Repubs
Buchanan makes the point that the Repubs have nothing to offer to entice these voters to their cause ,and many are fearfull of the party…but they are the most rapidly growing strata in the USA
In Arizona and Alabama recently hard-right wing Repub Governors had enacted harsh laws against illegal immigrants in employment…
In Arizona they have sought to stop High Schools teaching programs on Hispanic culture and history…which have provoked strikes by students
All part of the Repubs problems…as the Tea Party types indulge in their racial hatreds…but in the past repubs like ..Nixon and Reagan once carried California(Nixon on five occasions.)..but today the Golden State is lost to the Republicans at all levels

Most voters have already made up their minds. It is the swing voters in the swing states that will make the difference. And a lot could happen between now and election day.Super Nova wrote:The papers say in the UK it is neck and neck between Mitt and Obama.
