DrShrink wasn't initially elected as an admin, either. He simply created a forum which the animals then populated. DrShrink was never elected to any postion on the Proboards version of PA.

Not entirely correct. Romeo (with the encouragement of Mattus, his www site business partner) offered to HOST....and we moved there. Immediately prior to that move, Shrink was PA Admin sole and absolute, and AM was a Moderator. Not understanding that difference, on our arrival at his site, in error Romeo made AM an Admin, equal to Shrink.

......and this held the position that DrShrink had held in the previous one. He appointed DrShrink and myself as equal administrators, and stayed in the background himself (much like freediver, it seems).

As I said, he made AM Admin (equal to Shrink) in error. Prior to that, AM was only a Moderator. If you really believe freediver is hands off, you confirm you are the groveling fool I always thought AM was. Go read some old Threads, and you will see that he constantly interferes in internal political issues, he unconstitutionally dismisses duly elected Admins (twice) and he rigs elections. Hence my deep and abiding affection for him of about the same quality as I hold AM in.

Later on, both DrShrink and I stood for re-election as admins, at different times. We were both re-elected.

I cannot recall even one after we got to Romeo's site. It was not long after we got there that AM tried his coup. I do agree that, prior to our arrival there, AM was successful in Moderator elections, as were others including myself.

The only reason Aussie persists with this lie is because DrShrink allowed him to get away with breaking the forum rules.

If I'd been the one to let Aussie break the rules with impunity while DrShrink had been trying to make him behave, Aussie would be saying the exact opposite.

Ipso facto, I was not breaking any Forum Rules, as Shrink did not take any action against me, and I gave him no reason to. There was no complaint from the Animals to Shrink about me, no uproar (or even murmer) demanding that Shrink act. There probably were whingy, sooky whines from AM who never could accept that he does not fart perfume. I readily admit that I never ever got off the proverbial back of AM for the theft of the position of PA Admin., and I am quite certain he would have loved to see me silenced, as all shitty despots prefer. As it turned out, my appraisal of his despotic and flawed character was vindicated by his own conduct when he knifed PA's "Caesar" in Shrink, and tried to take PA over, something he can never accuse any other Animal of (although in a fit of pique, Mattus did once threaten to nuke the whole Board.....but he did not carry out that threat.)

By the time Members realised the mistake, it was too late for Romeo to act. He truly was completely hands off. It goes to the credit of Shrink that not once did he ever openly bitch about it. He made a fatal mistake in believing that, although AM had Admin buttons, AM would defer to him as the absolute Leader of PA. AM could not accept his true place, and ultimately, because of his attempted coup, he became PA persona non grata (slinking off to D&A) to those Animals at the time, few of whom are still here. It is probably to the credit of AM that he destroyed the basic and successful fabric of what was, Political Animal, simply because he could not get his way.
