Re: The Weather, etcetera
Brief drop in .. got someone in a hurry to go nowhere waiting .. so ...
Been raining for days now, but not cold, and the winds have gone.
Bit unhappy currently. Got this dog {Rocket} who'd been abused and nobody thought would be any good.
But I saw his tail rise along with his confidence, and this sensitive little fella became the best pig catcher in the area.
Then at 15 months of age, in the early hours on the 4th of July 2012 Rocket went to say hello to the dogs out the back.
And for that, Fusswit, the former school teacher out the back poison baited him, then took the body away at sunrise so as not to be found.
May the memory your sweet natured spirit remain within my heart forever Rocket.
Goodbye mate.

If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

That's very sad Hoppy. Sorry for your loss. Hope he didn't suffer for too long. It's always worse when a pet gets destroyed by someone who doesn't like it for no good reason. Pity you couldn't prove the schoolteacher poisoned him. The RPCA or the police would have to take action.

Re: The Weather, etcetera
The rain has stopped again. Temps quite mild, almost pleasant.
Been doing a bit of exploring out the back, where some cattle leases have been resumed and designated National Park. Found one apparent abandoned cabin and stock yard with a very suspect near new New Holland tractor parked under lantana behind it, and a few days ago a shed with an old caravan in it and over grown stock yard, which has obvioulsy been abandoned. There's still cattle roaming arond various parrts of the so called Nat Park, apparently the some of cow cockies have current leases running, so have a couple of years to remove stock.
Funny thing about this Nat park (former state forest) is 13 years ago Dept Nat Resources refused permission for my mineral (gold) exploration permit despite Dept Mines & Energy backing/supporting me, on the grounds 2 blackfella tribes had layed competing land rights claims over the area. Know where 2 old shafts are.
So the govt can't decide who owns it, but they can just willy nilly turn it into a Nat Park.
Found one spot up on a mountain in a state forest with sign of only small pigs, and wondered if the sows are using it as a birthing area. Then I found an umbilical cord still black blood in part of it.
Been tracking/hunting this big black razor-back for over a month now. Kept finding pig nuggets the size of golf balls, then foot prints that you can put 20 cent pieces in either/both sides.
On Saturday 30th of June, a mate, Rocket and I went for a look out the back for a look where Rocket had stired a mob up the previous day. We didn't quite get there as the pigs were coming our way. I let my mate have 2 shots, then sent Rocket after a mostly black spotty 30-40 kilo pig running down the hill, and they both disappeared into the bush . I ran though 2 creeks and headed down that way myself. Then this 100+ kilo black boar comes charging up the hill from that direction with Rocket right up his backside. The boar ran though a mob on a large mound/small hill, and kept going up the next hill. As I ran up the mound/hill I could hear a sucker squealing, and found Rocket with a little boar on its back and his mouth around its belly. Took it home, checked and found not a mark/injury on it. Offered it to 2 lots of neighbors, but no takers. So he became Rocket's Sunday dinner.
3 nights-4 days later he was gone.
Soon I'm going to build the Rocket memorial from rocks and cement right in the back corner near Fusswit's access track, have a plaque cast, and put a laminated blown up photo of Rockets face on it up high, so he has to look at it every time he leaves his property, no matter how high the grass is.
I'm one of several who are just waiting for Fusswit to pack up and phuk off. And we're prepared to offer encouragement if he needs it too.
So far he's caught/kept the old bloke with the cattle lease out the back's dog because he thought it was the next door neighbors. Poison bated one of the next door neighbors dogs. Gone to another neighbor's house with his rifle and had a tantrum about their dogs. And now he's poisoned my dog/pup. Yes he should expect trouble.
Have been offered Wolfhound X Blue cattle dog pup/s, and I'll probably get a bitch one day, but not now.
