The news sites and blogosphere has undergone a surprising change

Where leftwing posters where once united against against any and all conservative views. Often engaging in tag team matches on smaller website and full on pile ons on larger sites whenever a conservative or even centrist point of view was put forward, the online population (which is decidedly left leaning) is finally waking up to what the left side of politics is really capable of.

Sadly it took the deaths of 800 illegal immigrants on boats for Labor and their supporters to figure it out, and the feedback areas of newspapers and blogs has turned into a hilarious hair pulling cat fight between the left and the far left.

A quick read of some of the more leftwing newspapers reveals a bubbling undercurrent of catty swipes at formerly resolute backslappers as the Greens supporters try to defend the indefensible and Labor supporters try to defend the abomination of the current incarnation of their party

As a conservative supporter, I take great joy in these machinations. Who hasnt enjoyed the two little minors having a punch up on the back oval of the school grounds to the whoops and hollers of the audience?

The sad part is that now, like back then, there is no winner- only 2 sad losers who will come out battered, bruised and alienated from the normal kids (who become our productive members of society) that think they are dickheads and the two blackeyed intransigents will take solace from the legions of online backslappers that they have done the "roight thing".

Sadly, because in a democracy we do require strong oppositions to keep the bastards honest on an ongoing basis and in that respect both Labor and the Greens are very lacking.

Further to this, Labor have spent the last few elections pandering to the Greens in back room deals to secure their preferences all the while, the Greens were formulating their own plan to steal Labor voters.

The Greens have succeeded in splitting the so called 'progressive' vote but all they can hope to achieve in the short term is to install conservative govts for decades.

I have predicted this before but I will say it again.
If you split the leftwing vote you will get the semi-normal leftwing leaners bailing out to the conservatives because watching the tards is pathetic
The hard left will already be voting for the Greens and will be maxed out at around 10-15% of voters that are either idealogues, fruitcakes, mungbeans or economically illiterate. That percentage won't change unless the Greens can embrace and engage in a more pragmatic politik
The balance of the rusted ons will continue to vote for Labor until their wallets are bare, the elderly are sold for their body parts and their children are sold as sex toys at union/labor conferences...even then, the rusted ons would only threaten to give them a 2 but a "workchoices" campaign might convince them otherwise

In essence, for the next decade at least until they clean up their act, engage with the majority and ignore the vocal idiots who would champion the eating of babies (I'm looking at you, Monk) as long as it came from the mouth of a labor politician, the progressives can wallow in the mire of, at best 15%+30% split.. And you can play around with those numbers as much as you want but at this point with your little bitch fight happening, thats all you deserve and that's being pretty generous
