This thread is for the Olympics which starts in 2 weeks.
I am going to the Final of the Soccer (football they call it here) and some horse riding thingy with the wife.
I now live in London so the traffic will be totally shite.
The airports will deliver poor service and experience to those arriving.
The opening will be a laugh.....
The weather will be crap.
Place your bets here:
US will be 1st.
UK will come 4th in the medal tally.

Well it starts tomorrow.
Weather is currently good, the POMs are whinging about 28 degrees heat.
North Korea pissed off over the South Korean flag being used for them i nthe womens socer yesterday.
Now, who the fuck does Mitt think he is. This is England, they whinge and bitch as all the time. They have come out in all sorts of bad weather to follow the flame around England. The US under Mitt cannot forge a Special Relationship with the UK unless he understand it is their culture to complain.
England is goign to put on a good games. There will be some issues with traffice and transport and the weather.

Britain is in the third quarter of negative GDP growth, Tory economic management is shit. Here the economy is strong due to brilliant economic management by the Labor govt.
Olympics: Yawn! I hate spectator sport and I hate how prestige sport sucks money out of community sport. Would not hurt to put AIS students on some sort of HECS fee basis! If Australia wins no gold medals at these olympics I will not lose a second of sleep!

5.30am is a bit early for me. I hope they replay the opening ceremony tomorrow night although I haven't seen it advertised as such
