Assange has some questions to answer in Sweden, instead he has taken a step that generates the publicity he craves.

The person being tried for theft of classified material is a US army soldier and that is relevant to this matter. The US is not seeking to extradite Julian.

I wish a tiny fraction of the attention the publicity seeker generates was used to put some pressure on the US govt to ensure Manning gets a fair trial and a sentence that is commensurate with what he did.
