Happy Birthday to Watergate

Post by Jovial Monk » Sun Jun 17, 2012 12:12 pm

Happy 40th Birthday to Gate No.1 Watergate.

Today is the 40th anniversary of Watergate.
Sunday 17 June 2012

In 2012, Nixon would probably have got away with it

And he would have too, like now the only real coverage of the Thomson matter is from Independent Australia and VexNews

Nixon is remembered by the public only for Watergate but his accomplishments were many. He, and Reagan, is/was far too liberal for the Republicans today. Neither one of them would be nominated. Nor would Bush Sr. Reasonable men have no place in the current GOP.

Romney is a reasonable guy.

Look, reasonable men say unreasonable things to get elected.

The fact is Romney worked with an overwhelming democratic majority in MA to turn the state finances around, sweep out corruption and deliver as a conservative governor. He was able to reason, build consensus... he had to.

I reckon Romney working with a democratic congress could get more done than Obama working with a republican congress.... hell, he could probably get more done than Obama working with a democratic congress!

Didn't Cheating say exactly the same thing with respect to L.A.W tax cuts

Liars the lot of them, but the left are far more stupid and lie more often while making their grandiose statement that prove to be bullshit.

I prefer the guys that don't lie quite as much to those that lie constantly

I guess you wont be voting any time soon, then.

The codeine addict dribbled:
. . .their grandiose statement that prove to be bullshit.
Best example of that: Bush declaring Victory! in Iraq.

Its not the crime its the coverup.

IA just got a heap of HSU credit card statements covering 3 years. Not a mention of Thomson tho. Oh dear:

A Royal Commission into the FWA is needed.
