IQ is right. If there had been a labor government in when you had the libs you would be in the same deep shit as the UK. Australia is benefiting from having a liberal governmnet in during the good times where the UK had labor in power who spent up big during the good times and left the coffers bare whne things got tough.

The UK would be in much better shape if the tory's were in power during the good times and labor got in about now to spend up big during the recession. The problem here in the UK there is no money to buy an eccomic recovery. With that been said they annouced this week money for banks at cheep interest that for the first time is conditional that it has to be lent to businesses. Desparate times call for new thinking.

Australia also benefits from having resources to sell. Let's hope that continues.
