Obama's speech to congress.

Great speech. Be good to be American and have voted for a president like that. What do you think "frogen" and AIA?

I think a much more realistic assessment of probs facing America rather than "hope!" would have been more useful.

Despite the Deputy Shadow Treasurer on Lateline last night saying Rudd should give "hope" Rudd is telling it like it is and working his butt off to prevent a deep recession here. If Obama doesn't deliver there will be huge disappointment and he will be voted out in 2012.

He won't be voted out in 2012.

Nice speech, but as with most of Obama’s political career so far the words have exceeded the policy results.

He has just embarked on the largest spending spree in US history yet claims he will get deficits down by one half in his first term. Unless he means the shell game that in his fourth year he will temporarily slash government spending only for that year his numbers simply do not add up to political reality.

It won’t happen.

Just like his promise to leave Iraq immediately, oh wait in 16 months, oh wait now 18 months but with 50,000 troops still there.

Obama tells the rubes on the Left what they want to hear, that he is transcendent, different, open, honest, and then he governs the way every other politician does, indeed breaks some of the core promises they voted for him on.

Frogwart, have you heard there's a global financial crisis sweeping the planet right now? Are you aware that Keynesian economic will aid the recovery? Do you even understand Keynesianism?

Frogen doesn't understand the concept of 'straw man', how do you expect him to understand Keynesianism?
You vote, you lose!
