It is clear that the next election is going to take place late next year. It is now much less clear that the government will lose that election, and almost certain that Tone will not be LOTO for all that much longer.
The two weeks before this Tone let his feral bloodlust to be PM show just too much. Massive blowback, including in the last Newspoll.
Then this morning, Craig Thomson had a little fun, voting with the Opposition and Indies on a minor procedural division. Hilarious footage ensued, I am sure it will appear on YouTube real soon set to the Benny Hill chase music. Pyne and Abbott run to the doors, Whyny Piny makes it out but the Dep. Speaker hauled Tones back, saying she had ordered “close the doors!” All this so Tone could say they didn’t accept the “tainted vote” of the Member for Dobell.
Craig will now have Tone on tenterhooks every division
Tone does not have it in him to turn his fortunes around.
Piny had set a little trap for Slipper, that is going to blow back on him, he will be lucky to remain the Member for Sturt.
Mark Textor, Lib polster/advisor said ordinary people wouldn’t care about the running out of Parliament. Who does he think he is kidding? It is almost viral on Twitter and will be viral on YouTube. Labor will play it constantly in the lead up to the next election (in the unlikely event Tone is still LOTO then.
The woman does not lie down and die said Tone. Well, that was his strategy and it has not worked.
