Is it time for another war - this time Syria

Post by Super Nova » Wed May 30, 2012 6:45 pm

The UN is a useless organisation and has not impact on rogue regimes.

The killing of innocent women and children by coming into their houses, shooting them or cutting their throats or cutting off their limbs to leave them to die is the last draw. Something has to give.

Is it time for the US and it's normal allies to go in and overthrow these arseholes.

Should we provide support to the opposition forces?

Should we just sit back and do Sweet FA because we are all shagged out after the last couple of interventions?

Would this one be a just war?

My view.... let's go in....

Get ready fo rthe next war................. it is coming soon.......
AMERICA'S top military officer has warned Syria it might face armed intervention as international outrage grows over the massacre of women and children by tanks and artillery in the central town of Houla.

''There is always a military option,'' chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey told Fox News.

In the wake of the United Nation's security council's condemnation of the slaughter - in which more than 100 people were killed, many of them children, he said he advocated increased diplomatic pressure on Damascus, but he added that the United States would be prepared to act militarily if it was ''asked to do so''.

The UN is a sum of it's parts has no authority without majority consensus. This is as it should be.

You do realise the Syrian regime is targeting the Islamic opposition? A religion you have often commented negatively on. Syria is quite likely to become a majority Islamic nation when this regime is removed.

Bullshit. There is a majority concensus already. It is that China and Russia are exercising their vetto rights.

The UN's top dogs have right of Vetto as being their right because they were the major powers and winners of the second world war.

So a majority concensus is not what how the UN is run. All is NOT as it should be.

I realise this. That does not justify the killings by the Government back arming.

The government response to peaceful protest have strengthen the opposition. The opposition would need a common purpose so I expect that the religious groups see this as an opportunity to use their cause to unite people bring them into the fold. Clever don't you think.

The government will use this fear of a religious government and fear of a Taliban type rule to hold power.

This is going to get ugly. More kills this week. Crimes against humanityaccustation by the UN Human Rights will force the Regime into a no-win situation and it will propbably become a fight to the death for the regime.

More inncoence will die before this one is sorted.

From the ashes the extremeist will grow. A new threat will emerge.

As a species I often wonder if we have earned the right to exist for the long term. We spend so much time fighting each other. I guess we need this to evolve since we are no longer competing with any other animal for space and for survival.

Another 87 people killed today is being reported.

The first casualty of war is truth.

Russia is still supporting Syria.

Getting harder to determine who is at fault.

How does anyone know what the truth is? The Syrian information minister is saying that the foreign media is inflaming this situation and not telling the truth because of their political agenda - that's believable. He goes on to say that they are "hiding information deliberately to silence Syrian channels which will uncover the role of these countries providing support to terrorists in Syria by helping them financially and smuggling weapons into the country".

The US and Europe imposed sanctions on Syrian media outlets. Sound familiar, especially as we know that the US once worked with Taliban, Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and the list could go on.

Extract from the information minister - Adnan Mahmoud's interview.

All this is part of the information war waged against Syria. We know that 80% of the satellite channels dedicate 30 minutes of their news hour to Syria today. And a recent study shows that 90% of satellite coverage on Syria has nothing to do with the actual situation in the country. It’s all lies and fabrications. This again proves that there is a real information war waged against Syria, with real facts being substituted with fabrications. These lies are the only way for them to achieve their objectives in their war against Syria.

The Houla massacre is a good example of that. As soon as the first pictures of the massacre were released, everybody started accusing the Syrian army and security forces. But we all know who was really behind this crime. The atrocities used against the Syrian people, as well as the sanctions introduced against the Syrian government media, have revealed the true nature of those waging war against Syria.

Today, the people of Syria are targeted by terrorists who are armed and sponsored by regional powers like Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, as well as by Western nations, such as the US. Those who often talk about fighting terrorism have joined their forces today to support terrorists attacking Syria.
