Latest ALP Tactic

Post by Nelson » Wed May 09, 2012 8:47 pm

The latest ALP tactic is now in full swing. Turbo charged by last nights Budget.
Labor is in disarray.
Rudd has been publicly trashed.
Gillard is on her last chance.

The budget ties into the script Labor MPs have been following.
Last night Swan, Wong and Gillard all sang from the same hymn book.
Today there has been more of the same, add Shorten to the list.
They are now madly trying to paint Abbott as part of the North Shore (financial) elite, out of touch with "ordinary" Australians - those Labor have been out of touch with for decades.

I used to think Gillard had a bit of intelligence and Penny Wong too, but now it is clear that the puppet-masters have written a new script and this is it, the election campaign has well and truly begun. If successful this is what Gillard will use to defeat Abbott, if not, this is her last chance. If things don't turn around soon, don't expect that Labor will not revolt and demand a new Leader.

Labor have targeted Abbott from the beginning obsessing over him with more ad hominem and negativism than I've ever seen directed at one person before. But honestly do they think this latest crap will stick. Surely even the most rusted-on socialist knows about Abbott his family and life. They know that, since the 2010 election Tony Abbott has held 36 community forums in over 28 electorates in all States and Territories, with more than 14,500 ordinary Australians having the opportunity to speak directly with him. They know, no political figure has spent more time talking with Australian families about their concerns in recent years than Tony Abbott. Surely they know he has a family, he's a surf-lifesaver, a member of the local Bush-fire brigade and a tireless worker for charities. Surely they know he has even spent his holidays helping Aborigines in remote communities. These aren't secrets. Sadly and undeniably Gillard is badly supported and advised, surely this tactic will fail.

If Julia Gillard got out and spent more time with real Australians, she would know the damage her broken promise and the carbon tax has done to the ALP and her credibility.

So Labor have targeted Abbott from the beginning and of course poor defenceless Abbott has done nothing to deserve it? Abbott is the most destructive politician we've ever had in Australia. He has been relentless in his campaign of hate towards Labor and his RW cronies have joined in throwing mud. In fact he talks about nothing else aside from a couple of his piddling policies. Has he sold one policy to the Australian public yet? We all know he's a one eyed religious and biased nut.

The Coalition is successful in spruiking hatred slogans but that's nothing to boast about.

Yes he has been successful in spooking Labor who should have ignored him. Abbott is a petty little man and will be no better than Gillard - probably worse.

I agree Gillard hasn't been listening to the people and this is causing her downfall.

It's going to be difficult to find a decent party to vote for next year. The Greens are evolving into more a social party than an environmental one. Still they have more to offer than Labor or the Coalition, which isn't saying much about any of them.

The Coalition is really playing on this class war propaganda considering they have been the most divisive political party to date. There's an article today about a woman who lives in Tony Abbott's street and is extremely resentful about Gillard's comment in regard to those who live on the North Shore. She's whinging about the sacrifices she's had to make to move there and send her kids to a good school. She's probably had her benefits cut - but should we all be rewarded for living outside of our means?

Where do you draw the line?
SHE made sacrifices to get her family to Sydney's north shore - now mother of two Beryl Truong is bearing the brunt of an ugly class war.

Ms Truong lives in the same Forestville street as Opposition Leader Tony Abbott who was this week told by Prime Minister Julia Gillard to "get off Sydney's north shore and go and talk to some real families and get himself in the real world".

Ms Truong yesterday had a simple message for the Prime Minister - as a senior Labor figure warned the party against promoting class division.

"We've got a mortgage ... we are a real family. Everyone here is real. There are people that make a lot of sacrifices to live in this area because of the schools. Just because they live here doesn't mean we are all well off," the 37-year-old said.
