High meat, as in aged meat coated in an oxidised slime is not something I could arrive at myself, AiA, nor is it's consumption recommended by our health department and authorities.

In this article, climate extremists argue that eating Skippy could even save our planet.

It sounds to me as though our resident kangatarian Freediver is of this inclination.
It's one thing to be an environmentalist, or even activist, but it's another thing again to be a climate extremist, zealot, aka nut-case.

And to such an extent whereby he'd instruct others to dismiss health authority guidelines placing their health at risk.

Furthermore, I seriously doubt Freediver has even eaten kangaroo meat himself, rather is just one of these warmer-zealots who try to convinse others to with a view to changing the world one kangaroo at a time.

I found this Game Meat field depot guideline from the NSW food authority rather comical, and I'm sure those who have a clue about how kangaroo meat 'truly' finds it's way to our supermarket shelves will too.

And they wonder why the rest of the world wont take our roo-meat export trade seriously?

You see IQS, extremist warmer ideology dictates that we human beings are little more than an earthy plague, a blight on our own environment worthy of eradicating, culling (you may have heard them refer to us normals as breeders once or twice) so in feeding us our own parasite-ladled
Coat of Arms, these warmer zealots are effectively killing two birds (plagues) with the one stone.
Kangaroos and humans, touché.

Ingredients:
2k kangaroo meat (request local butcher to
add extra serve of red dye so it looks really
fresh as it has been sitting unrefrigerated in
chillers outback for over 2 weeks before
being processed and would be brown and
putrid looking if it wasn’t dyed)
2 cups chopped celery
1 cup sliced carrot rounds
1 large red onion
250 garlic cloves
favourite pie crust
Directions:
1. Line pie dish with pie crust (freezer section in
Woolies, thaw out first).
2. Inspect kangaroo meat carefully. Remove any visible
maggots. Using a UV blue light search with magnifying
glass for parasites. Of course there will be lots of
microscopic ones but not much you can do about that.
Just pick out whatever ones you can find. Wash hands
thoroughly with a nailbrush doused in kerosene to
remove microscopic parasite eggs from hands. If you
touched your face or hair accidentally while preparing
meat, jump in the shower and while you are at it, dowse
yourself with more kerosene.
Be careful stay away from flames (for example cigarettes) until you have dried
yourself. If you totally forgot these instructions and
picked your nose before washing your hands, spray your
nasal passages with a few squirts of Mortein.
3. Next chop up carrots and onions (in rounds), celery,
parsley. Throw in boiling water and drain till cool. Peel
garlic and chop finely. The garlic is necessary to repair
the damage to your immune system from the assault of
massive quantities of pathogenic bacteria - especially the
dreaded toxoplasmosis that has already killed a number
of people. Garlic may also help with other bacterial
infections likely to be found in roo meat such as e-coli,
salmonella, staphyloccus and streptococcus

Cats are not my favourite animal, but so many are abandoned in my area, that when I find the occasional one starving and sick - my instincts are to feed it until I can figure out what to do with it. This method isn't working well, but I'm learning.
Let me guess - you got the feeding bit sorted but not the 'figure out what to do with them' bit? Just hand them over to the pound.
And i'd just like to add, my friend who shot roos back in the late 80's was of the understanding these carcasses he surrendered were to go to pet-pack
That's all they were used for in the 80s. Roo meat has not been available in the supermarket for very long.
Then theres the newly discovered parasites we need to be concerned with, along with the risk of acquiring toxoplasmosis and a rare type of worm that invades then destroys muscle tissue.
There are plenty of very common nasty diseases that you can get if you don't cook meat properly. Roos are no different in this regard.
