He has got a pasty complexion, but he doesn't look like the grim reaper. That was a horrific advertisement. At the time it was on every channel every 5 minutes - people stopped having sex and chose blood tests instead.
The man was a coward and was forced to stand down by his own for the sake of what's left of this has-been little party that's discredited itself across a number of areas in recent years.

Bob is no Green, he's a RED!

Was he always a watermelon, (had a red centre) or did power and greed get the better of him?

Well, thats up for the public to decide I guess, when it's clear, his own party already has.
I doubt he was forced to stand down - his staff were in tears in the video clip, so it was obviously a very sad occasion. I don't think he's a greedy man either. He gave his cottage and acreage to the Bush Heritage Australia when it could have sold for close to a million dollars. I don't recall any other politicians being so generous with their assets.

His Cottage and acreage was a debt he had to repay back to the "friends-of-Israel" Mantra, afterall, it was them who made it possible for him to be able to purchase the property to begin with, recall the Goldman Environmental Prize (1990)?????

He made a hansom profit, belive you me.

And note, he did not donate all that which he gained from the initial investment/transaction, naturally.

Even Dick Smith has had a gut full of him.

Mantra, the Greens remain quite divided over the Israel/Palestine affair, Bob was looking more and more hypocritical by the day, having neglected to address this issue, in fact, he shunned it completely despite his 'humane' sentiments back in 2010.

They just couldn't have him there compromising their (slight) chances of redeeming themselves at the next election, hence he had to go.

Mantra, take a look...

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/theoly ... =146856072
"The Goldman Prize has served as a real inspiration to environmental activists around the world," said Jacob Scherr, director of global strategy and advocacy at the Natural Resources Defense Council. "With his passing, let it be known that Richard was too an environmental hero."

The prize was not the beginning of the Goldmans' philanthropy. The couple created the Goldman Fund in 1951, which has given away nearly half a billion dollars since then.

Goldman was also heavily involved in funding Jewish educational and pro-Israel organizations. The fund gave more than $12.6 million to Jewish affairs groups in 2010, according to its website.

Read more here: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/theoly ... rylink=cpy" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So, to simplify, Bob Brown received a Goldman Prize Award from a notoriously pro-Israel Fund then used the money to buy his cottage.

Mantra, Bob Brown was Bankrolled by friends of Israel all along, hence it was such a conflict of interest and the party remained divided over the Israel/Palestine issue.

Afterall, he couldnt bite the hand that fed him now could he.

The Goldman Prize was what kick-started/bankrolled his political career, placed him on the world stage where he needed to be in order to become the hypocritical prick he is.

:hlo

You see Mantra, Israel is natural resource poor, hence the need for an alternative, it's just, they needed to gift wrap it and sell it to the rest of the world first, given they lacked the initial deposit.

See, if you cant afford a car,(Aka Alternative energy) convince someone, (other nations) stupider than yourself that they need one/it also, and in doing so, sell them the design to build it for you.

We have been scammed, courtesy of Bob Brown and friends of Israel.

Bob Brown paid $8,000 for his cottage and acreage about 25 plus years ago. He didn't receive the Goldman Prize until last year, if I've got my information from the right place.

WOW 8 grand 25 years ago was nothing. I bought my first house in Strathfield Sydney around 27 years ago, and it cost me 90 grand, and it was a dump.

Sorry Mantra, you are mistaken.

It was 1990, and Bob Brown used his Goldman prize award money $50,000 to bankroll his political career and purchase property, including the Tasmanian cottage and acreage to which you refer.

The man was and still is an Israel-backed burnt offering, and his party knew it.

Hence it's divided over the Israel/Palestine debunkle.

Skippy and Mantra, it seems you aren't aware of your party's longest serving leaders own history.

And there's a good reason for this, they didn't want you to know about it.

Theres a lot you don't know about Dr Death aka Brown it seems.

Scroll down to 1990 Mantra and Skip.

Now, read this, and tell me, do you really think the Palestine matter had nothing to do with Bob Browns demise?
Look how desperate they are to rebuke the obvious here...

:rofl

Just watch Christine Milne get straight to work re- Palestine Policy.

A green Conga-line of Israel-suckholes.

First of all I have to say that he didn't buy his cottage Oura Oura 25 - 30 years ago - he purchased it nearly 40 years ago and gifted it last year so that he owned it for 20 years before he won the Goldman prize.
Tomorrow (yesterday), that doctor, now 66-year-old federal Greens leader Bob Brown, will gift his retreat of almost 40 years to future generations.

“I want to have it become part of the public domain—and I believe in sorting that sort of thing out while one is hale and hearty,” Senator Brown told The Weekend Australian.

And so the forested land beneath Tasmania’s Great Western Tiers—home to platypus, peregrine falcons, quolls and bandicoots and visited by Tasmanian devils and wedge-tailed eagles—that has been both “a huge inspiration and a friend” for 38 years, will be gifted to Bush Heritage Australia. It was here, in the Liffey Valley, 20 years ago, that Brown created Bush Heritage, using prize money from an environmental award as a deposit to buy nearby forests threatened by logging.

Oura, Oura—an Aboriginal name for the yellow-tail black cockatoo—will become Bush Heritage’s 33rd reserve, bringing to almost 1 million hectares of land it holds around the nation.

Canonised by some and demonised by others, the seasoned politician recalls many of his early, controversial ventures beginning with a discussion around the kitchen table at Oura, Oura.

Among the first was in 1976, soon after Dr Brown had joined local forester Paul Smith in making one of the first successful navigations down the Franklin River in Tasmania’s wild southwest.

Sorry Mel - I know he's been a bit disappointing since he joined forces with Gillard and being an intelligent man he would also be aware that he's had to compromise his ideology for the sake of some legislation. This is possibly another reason he's leaving - to get back in touch with the person he really is.

I can't see how he supports Israel when he so openly supports the state of Palestine.
